“Some of the people in Congress who support these ideas are actually women. Then you hear about Pennsylvania cutting funding for Children's Defend Funds because they want starve children to punish their mothers. Again some women support this. Republicans are so brainwashed, it is not funny......it is sickening.”
“It is embarrassing and scary at the same time that people like Mourdock who are supposed to work for us continue to espouse these extreme ideas. Do they not remind you of the Taliban? It is a wonder that they don't stone the women who get pregnant from rape because she was raped. They hate women so much and think that they should be able to decide what women should do. They think women are not too bright. The Bible says, "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord in vain", yet they keep on doing just that. Beck said that God "guided" Romney to lose in the last debate. Do these people have brains? The people who still support these candidates are clueless.”
“One republican congressman now advocates death penalty for rebellious children. Huh! These are the pro-life advocates. I think republican men are afraid of women, so they want to control them. The are no better than the Taliban. Women you need to wake up and smell the roses. Take control of your own life. I would not choose abortion for myself, but I am not going to force my belief on another woman. Just like VP Biden said. That is the Democrats belief generally. Like someone said here, the woman is not the only one who produces the child. Why are they the only ones who have to be responsible?”
“The conservatives constantly attack Muslims of trying to bring Sharia law to America, but they are the ones who have their own version of Sharia law. They do not respect women and want to control them. They are no better than the Taliban. Look at all their issues. Abortion, contraception, etc. then just this week another congressman is advocating death penalty for rebellious children. It's scary they way they think. I think they are afraid of women, rebellious children, blacks, etc. etc. etc.
Why don't they go to Afganistan and live among their kind.”
“My family & I don't shop at Walmart and haven't for years. Kudos to these employees. An earlier article talked about inhumane conditions at their warehouses with temperatures over 120 degrees.”
slickmonkyz on Oct 5, 2012 at 08:40:24
“in most warehouses the temp. gets that high , its just part of life. i have had the displeasure of working at several places where the temps in the summer would be around the 120 mark. but i havent been inside a walmart in about a yr and a half and dont see a reason to go back anytime soon”
MidwestHeart on Oct 5, 2012 at 08:27:41
“I have heard that workers suffer similar working conditions in the summer at what may be the internet's largest online retailer.
I look for products direct from smaller companies. Not as convenient, but...”
“If Clint Eastwood is receiving social security benefits, he is one of the 47% that Romney thinks are moochers.
Also, nobody ever talks about ex congress people, etc. who get pensions even when they have been there only for 5 years. Can you imagine how many people are getting pensions from the government? And the eligible age is 62 and yet congress wants to raise social security age to 68 or even 70.”
bettestreep on Sep 19, 2012 at 02:09:38
There's one way for the spiralling debt to be reduced.
Lower military spending - which Teapublicans like Clint refuse to.
Make the richest 1% pay their fair share in taxes - something the teapublicans like Clint don't want to.
And scrapping all these generous taxpayer funded pensions for ex congress people - which I'm sure teapublicans like Clint won't agree with.
Oh Ellen - I sure hope youdestroyed that chair Clint was sitting on.”

“The 47% 0f people who are receiving federal checks DOES NOT include those on social security or Medicare. 62 is early social security. When you are old enough to get it, it will be gone!”
“Yeah, nobody ever mentions the fact that Romney also suckled from the government for his companies and not just a couple of hundreds a month, but in millions of dollars. You wanna bet that his donors have all taken money from the government at one time or another to build a business........"they did not build it!"
“Romney and Netanyahu were in school together and Netanyahu has made it plain that he would like Romney to be president.
I don't trust both of them.”
optimist7 on Sep 12, 2012 at 17:53:12
“Oh, not only that, they worked in a business together. I absolutely don't trust either one of them. I completely disagree with their views, and behavior. It is my hope for America that Romney will be soundly defeated in November, and for Israel, that Netanyahu too will be defeated in their approaching election. He is not supported by all of the Israeli people, or by older, wiser, Israeli leaders.”
“The republicans have been accusing the Dems of trying to redistribute wealth, but it is actually the other way around. They want all the wealth to go to the 1 %ers. Pretyy soon the American people will work for $2 per day just to get a job. That is supposedly what they pay in Africa as that stupid billionaire woman from Australia said, so why not the Australian miners? These people are reprehensible. The last few years have already moved most of the wealth to the rich while the middle class suffers. If people are fine with that, then they should vote for Romney/Ryan who are the henchmen for their rich donors. God help America if these duo win!”
“Remember when Palin was introduced at the RNC convention and she derided Obama as a community organizer? The still belittle him for that......these so called "Christians" who think socialism is a four letter word. Ignoramuses! What do the think Jesus was?”
“One Republican was interviewed during the convention and he said that when the "people" make money, they will give more charity to help other people who need the help. It should not be government who should give these people help. So what is it Republicans, charity or government help? If Mitt Romney cannot help a single person in need when he has millions and millions of dollars, who do they expect to help?
Well, a study actually showed just about a week ago that more charity giving comes from ordinary people than the very rich.
So Mitt what it is? Should you help poor people or should the government? You cannot have it both ways. If you are so greedy, why should we make you president.”
