“The undertone of this "blog" is questionable. Have you opened the application package up and read through some of the forms? If you haven't, you really should--I did.
Suffice it to say that anyone who has ever been arrested as an adult will not waste a moment of their time applying--especially if they're collecting unemployment. Way too much hassle for a temp job when, in all likelihood, they will not be selected. The "Don't waste your time" tone is evident. For all practical purposes, it states that if you've been arrested, they won't hire you unless there are some extenuating circumstances so you better be ready to have someone examine every nook of your life's history.
If the government won't allow people with convictions and arrest records to work, why don't both the Senate and House follow the same policy? I'm tired of them making laws for the rest of us tyhat don't apply to them. Recidivism rates will always be high because, not counting congress or the senate, there are no employment options once convicted of anything, even as a temporary, low wage census taker.”

“I agree with your undertones and it is a heavy peave with me. These rules must be changed. If I told you that I was a convicted felon, what would you think? Seeing and hearing those words make me cringe because we judge it. We have rules regarding it. It determines where we go in life. You can't work here because of it.You can't live here because of it. Those two words,we DON'T know what wrongs a person has done. We just know their stamped CF and because their stamped we have rules for stamped people. Hey ,I'm glad a judge dismissed my case after he saw that I was set up by officer.Yep!”
