Allen West Sends Chick-Fil-A To Black Caucus Meeting And Offends Everyone, Says Dem Rep

Commented Aug 7, 2012 at 20:46:40 in Politics

“Cathy was "publicly denouncing marriage equality"? Huh? Is that like when somebody says Obama is skinny they're really being racist?

"This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedevere. Explain again how sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes."”

“No it's like when somebody says Obama is a Muslim....or continues to ask to see his birth certificate when he's already shown it....or says he's uppity or arrogant.....when he really isn't much different than Ronald Reagan was when he was in the White House. So you're left to try to figure out what was different about them ....and you're left with color. That's where the racism comes in.”

14th Amendment: Democratic Senators See Debt Ceiling As Unconstitutional

Commented Jun 29, 2011 at 13:14:15 in Politics

“Such eloquent hackery! Here's a key:
job creation bill = new spending programs (think "almost shovel ready")
created or saved = lost
Republican sabotage and opposition = fiscal responsibility
confabulation and conflation neurosis = being the only ones who understand the severity of the current debt crisis
creating deception (and debt), especially when facts get in the way = pointing out the gaping holes in my reasoning and pissing me off
hypocrisy = cherry picking to produce a partisan narrative

There's lots more, but that's a start.”

“read "without a moral compass that I choose to recognize"”

Roger on Mar 13, 2011 at 20:11:24

“Because to "choose to recognize" Brietbart's supposed moral compass would render one utterly unable to function in an intelligent society (although it would make one do very well in modern America).”

“Michael Moore has almost zero credibility outside of Sundance (or a union meeting), but he did try - he just had to lie a lot to make his point”

Johnagain on Mar 13, 2011 at 23:32:13

“Moore has never lied and I defy you to name one. And referring to a Moore-bashing site doesn't count. There is a cottage industry, all paid for by those Moore exposes, who try to debunk his assertions. But the most telling thing of all is the fact that no law suits of any kind have been won by those he exposes in his movies. If he was lying, it should be quite easy to nail him in court. It hasn't happened due to the fact that he simply lets his subjects speak for themselves. He doesn't put words in their mouth, he doesn't over analyze their actions or words, he just lets the camera roll. And he does this with far better skill than anyone on the right has ever done.”

“you can see the unedited version too if it'll make you feel better”

diogeneslives on Mar 12, 2011 at 22:55:56

“What you say it true, the whole thing is posted on a site called gravitas.com or something. But what does that have to do with the fact that the video that was aired over and over and over (short skirt had a lot to do with it) was selectively and misleadingly edited for political gain?”

Who's Afraid of Shariah?

“Thank you for your expose of real Sharia. Now if you can only get the other 99% of the Muslim world to agree to your characterization, we're home free!”

“maybe you could talk to them, you seem to know them so well.”

elijah24 on Sep 8, 2010 at 10:14:55

“Thats an ignorant remark. It is the minority of the Islamic community who makes the rest look bad. Would you want Fred Phelps representing your religion? Or this moron in Florida? How 'bout Tim McVeigh? There are crazies in every religion. They do not make up 99% of the religion.”

Honor Killing: Is Violence Against Women a Universal Problem, Not an Islamic issue?

Commented Sep 7, 2010 at 18:31:28 in Religion

“Hey we're not so bad - see, everyone's doing it!

This sort of public-relations-drivel-as-opinion may fly at the HuffPo, but I think most people's BS detectors will see this for what it is.”
