“We will under educate our population and within twenty five years we will become a third world nation. The republicans are wrong. National security isn't in the military or homeland security it is in a well educated population.”

Allthosewhowander on Jun 15, 2012 at 12:05:25

“Do you really think it will take 25 years to become a 3rd world nation? I have traveled extensively in 3rd world countries and cultures and education in whatever form is seen as a blessing and a means to stengthen their, respective cultures. Many 3rd world countries have prioritized education as opposed to the United States where it is seen as a social burden by many.”

KrazyKitty on Jun 11, 2012 at 19:17:51

“Now, now....some smart people get to write here too, and THAT'S a fine example of how the USA IS educating its citizens properly. After all, education can take you just so far if you lack any common sense or a belief in science, mathematics, economics, history, facts and intelligence. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste."...could easily apply to those dim people.”

“You obviously don't have Apple products. They don't crash and are immune to viruses. Why wouldn't you have a Mac?”

Megsie on Jun 11, 2012 at 19:47:10

“They aren't immune to viruses at all. There was a huge thing just a few weeks back where there was a virus sweeping Mac users. The primary reason they don't get viruses often is because the market share is much lower and that's part of the point of creating a virus.

Personally I don't have a Mac because I don't fancy paying twice as much or more for equal or less performance that's less customizable, less repairable, less sustainable, and less dependable just because it has a posh logo on it.”

flashrabinowitz on Jun 11, 2012 at 19:44:43

“They certainly do crash. At my office, and not infrequently.”

Goncalo Bastos on Jun 11, 2012 at 19:36:59

“They do crash and they are not immune to virus. Why would you lie so blatantly?

The only reason why there aren't more viruses for mac is simply because the purpose of a virus is to infect the largest amount possible of machines. The second Apple OS outsells machines running Windows, expect to see a flood of apple viruses.”

“I do love the god of the old testament. He killed first borns and slaughtered whole cities and rained frogs and brought pestilence and made people into pillars of salt for looking in a direction he told them not to. Is this the god that cares about us? He certainly calmed down after he had a kid. Maybe the god that cares about us was on vacation when auschwitz was processing so many people? How about keeping god out of public schools? It's a good idea and is the very first thing mentioned in the very first amendment to the constitution.”

“Heavens knows we wouldn't want state employees to have pensions or benefits. State employees should be the lowest denominator and given little to no respect by the rest of us.”

seanwol on Jun 5, 2012 at 12:26:03

“Who said they shouldn't have pensions or benefits? You are making a straw man argument.

Asking them to contribute 5% to their pension and 12% to their awesome benefits isn't saying they shouldn't have those benefits.

It means that average taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for 100% of their pension, the majority of their healthcare, and then have to pay for public employees benefits as well.”

“Obama was blocked on any spending bills that were to rebuild the infrastructure and create jobs. The republicans knew they had to stop anything that might improve the economy. They knew that was the one way to limit Obama to one term.”

WESmith on Jun 6, 2012 at 13:37:53

“All we had to do was to listen to Obama and "create new jobs with our intelligence, innovativeness and hard work" instead of waiting for politicians to pull jobs out of their arses. Those jobs we sent overseas aren't coming back. Why create infrastructure and create jobs to produce goods and services no one can afford to purchase? This happened in the 1980s. In 1985, millions of people lost their jobs and homes in the alternative energy business. 80% of the homes in my subdivision were forclosed on. My home was worth 20% of what I owed at 15.5% mortgage. Alternative energy is out. Petroleum is evil. That's out. We will buy clothes made by a 9 year old slave before we buy union-made clothes. That's out. The only industry left in the US is entertainment. Anything else will likely become unprofitable. Prove me wrong (please).”

“So who has fooled Rick Scott? Why is he so stupid that he can be fooled by this? I'll try to be clear and short. Illegals hide so they won't be deported. Voter fraud is a felony. Why would they vote when its necessary to be invisible to stay in the US? What advantage is it to an illegal to vote? This is not the true issue. The true reason is to limit some democrats from voting. Remember that W won by less than 600 votes. That's 600 people that were purged from the voters list. They plan on purging thousands before November.”

The only way the Libs can compete is if they all vote and we know they won't do that. They just don't have the mindset that conservatives do. Conservatives will band together and vote as a block even if it's wrong, it's still the conservative way to vote. We will even vote for something that we know is wrong knowing we will fix it after the Libs are voted out.”
