“Dr. Westen those are powerful and truthful words you've written and I can only hope that a member of the White House Press Corps will draw from them at the next news conference and ask a question or two relative to these observations. Thank you.”

“Why don't the rest of the White House Press Corps ask the very same question. We deserve an answer and always have to depend on Helen to carry the heavy loads.”

“Hey Mike,
I helped you in Crawford County and registered 21 Democrats, 5 Republicans and 5 Independents. It was fun. But this bout with Health Care Reform isn't the first time I've lost faith in President Obama. His stance on Don't Ask, Don't Tell, his 'Look forward' approach to Cheney/Bush war crimes, states secrets, and the Defense of Marriage Act all have left me scratching my head. Great post though from you. I hope he comes through Wednesday night with a passionate, rousing speech. If he caves in on the Public Option I'll scratch him off by Facebook Friends list.”

“Anyone know John King's salary? If it's beyond 6 figures he's grossly overpaid, too.”

RobertAndropolis replied on Mar 16, 2009 at 23:16:59

“Every tv hack of King's "stature" makes well over six-figures; hell, our city's local traffic babe pulls down a hundred grand for taking a helicopter ride and telling us about the same traffic jams in the same places on the same freeways at the same time every day.”

“Mr. Moore,

I pray that Karl Rove's relevance is over and thank you for illustrating so vividly why we should not take his celebrity with a positive meaning. Very well said. Thank you, but I'd be happier to see Rove in prison.”

“Mr. Abrams,

For what it is worth: politics is exciting and unfortunately it lasts forever. Being that I can find political news on CNN, Fox News, CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, Time Magazine, Drudge, HuffPo, WaPo, NY Times and many, many other sources, could I ask you if you and the good folks at MSNBC be my source for all the other news, not fit to print (or broadcast).

What is happening with the Bees? Whatever happened to Brett Tolman and the addendum he tacked onto the Patriot Act? Why are political strategists allowed to lie without being called on it? Why no word on the Pentagon program to "shape" public opinion regarding the Iraq war?

I'd like to see Richard Perle, Doug Feith, William the Bloody Kristol and the rest of them be interviewed by someone with the right questions and demand the correct answer from them. They've not been held to account since this mess started so long ago.

I need a place to find news like that Mr. Abrams. I'm so tired of David Gregory, Andrea Mitchell, Chris Matthews and The Scar. Can you help me?”

“Ms. Boxer,

Your support for enacting better legislation than the current House version of FISA is deeply appreciated. We really do need to know what happened.

Why, though, if the 4th Amendment requires a warrant for searches, can a law be written to negate the Amendment without amending the Constitution itself?”

“I agree. Coverage of Mr. Russerts death rivals JFKs and I heard tonight that the funeral, though private, will be televised. I'm sure Mr. Russert was an outstanding man, father, husband, son and friend to many people, but as a journalist, who admitted "everything was off the record" unless otherwise stated, and as the host of the TV show Dick Cheney liked, because he could control the message, I find all of this TV coverage appalling. I'm sure Mr. Russert would also.”

Thank you for this beautiful piece. I am a John Edwards supporter who is living in limbo at this point watching the media darlings (Hillary and Obama) destroy the Democratic Party. Thank you for having the guts to say it like it is.”
