Azealia Banks On Syria: 'America Will Never Have Another Black President' If Obama Invades

Azealia Banks On Syria: 'America Will Never Have Another Black President' If Obama Invades

“She is not half too bad when it comes to her understanding of what is going on. Obviously, Russia, Iran and many other countries would not want this mission to succeed, which means this can easily turn into a proxy war not different than what happened in Afghanistan in the 80s. And so far, the administration has not shown us a single stick or carrot that it has over Iran or Russia. You bombard Syria, the government goes into hiding with their weapons and all, then what do you do? no answer on this either! I am all for doing something if it means saving lives, but a bit more detailed plan with exit strategy, end goals, and post-war middle-east picture (which is going be a lot more complicated than anyone has discussed) would be a good start. And I aint hearing any of that from this administration.....

This is the first time I am hearing about her at all, but she sounds plenty smart IMO. so instead of dismissing her without much critical thinking present a case why the initial of her statement are wrong (not the black president stuff).....I challenge you....”

“This is not some black family this guy has custody of, it is his freaking family and like all politicians he has the right to showcase his family and his values through them. Are you suggesting that he should hide them?

then there is the consultant that said that this add was designed to appeal to black people. Sure! guess what, political wives show up in ads for their husband's to appeal to women all the time, so if in some way this man's family can appeal to two voter grps at once, kudos to them.

Finally, having a multi-ethnic family alludes to something noble about a person's character. That is not to say that that person's is invariably good.....i just means they are a lot ahead than many when it comes to the acceptance of others....”

“Your point is you will take Zimmerman's word for it despite having a clear motive to justify his actions as self defense. If I killed someone, and all I needed to say was 'look at my bruises, it was all in self defense' would not I do it? And would you take my word for it? How about if the dead person was a 17 year old relative of yours (may be your son or brother?”

Dale Sams on Jul 14, 2013 at 04:26:03

“I THINK, I could be wrong...his motives were viewed as inadmissible. So the jury didn't hear all that 'history of profiling stuff'”

“The undisputed evidence that he killed Someone he was clearly following; Zimmerman following Martin is not in dispute neither is the fact that he killed him. The person who is dead that did not and was not doing anything wrong gets the benefit of the doubt in my book, at least that is where my sense of justice is.......what about yours Dale?”

Dale Sams on Jul 14, 2013 at 04:11:14

“Following is not a crime. Self-defense is not a crime. The dead can't testify. That is not evidence beyond a reasonable doubt.”

“To me this case is simple: Someone sought a confrontation with someone else by stalking them 1st by car and then on foot and then drew reaction (a violent one) from that person (which is in dispute, but let us just say that it is true for the sake of argument). The stalked person felt watched and threatened and as consequence that person dies by the stalkers gun; my sense of justice tells me that the stalker created a context for executing someone, and thus is a murderer. I also find the argument that suggests Martin should have ran away ironic; what happened to Martin standing his ground? The other argument that really make mad is the one that goes like this: Everyone agrees that Zimmerman was looking for martin when he initially got out of his car, so is it not logical that when he found Martin "on his way back to his car" that he was still looking for him and thus must have sought the confrontation? Are we led to believe that he had a change of heart sometime between when he got out of his car (after being told not to follow) and his way back; at which point he did not want anything to do with this kid? Why must he get the benefit of the doubt when a 17 old, stalked by a grown man is the dead party in this event?

All I can say is that this offends my sense of Justice!!!!”

“By default we are all female, but around around 8 weeks the testes produce a substance (called MIF) to help involute the tube that would have formed the internal female genital organs (i.e. uterus, cervix e.tc.) In any case, there are plenty of other process that involve many hormones that have to happen before the external organs (penis for boys and a vagina for girls) develop. And trust me, unlike this "man" these babies have more important things than masturbation to do in the period he is talking about; things like developing a functioning brain and heart. This man clearly has too little of both :)”

“We can debate whether leaking this information was for the greater good or not (and I think it was); but the content in the video, in my opinion, is very dangerous both for him and the country. He boasts about how he knows the locations of CIA offices/personnel around the world. He says that he had access to secret information that the Russians would be interested in and many other countries for that matter. And he does all of this while in a foreign country. What if one of the many countries/groups who are interested in these sorts information captured him and tortured him to reveal more about unrelated programs. Did he come out to collect the kudos? he even says nonchalantly, "there is a CIA office just down the street..." (It is open secret that consulates function as CIA offices, but still......seriously, this is very stupid.)”

NSA Collecting Verizon Customers' Phone Records: Report

“Two points: 1. buyers remorse on our part as citizens 2. expectation of prudence from a large bureaucracy based on the fact that the one person (the president) we elect to the top post will be able to curtail every bit of that bureaucracy. 1st point; scared, about a decade or so ago, we pushed the national security boulder down the hill and it's been gaining steam ever since with a life of it is own and no end in sight. There is a whole generation of law enforcement juniors that are being raised on this system (i.e.) it will only get worse as these men/women are elevated to more senior positions; eventually those who knew freer days will leave these organizations.

Flip-side of this is, that these programs have helped keep us somewhat safer; the more the government knows the more it preempts crime but also the more error-prone the tactics will be given that that the government has unfettered access to us. Every-time anything happens, the question is how come they did not know. Many of these don't have prior records, so how do you find out about them without doing massive data mining? Should we profile only one community (answer: NO)?

1. As a citizen are you OK with recanting the entire system and going to pre-911 system?
2. Can you live with the consequences of this decision if something big happened in the interim?

Feedback please......”

“For anyone to think the person elected to the top post of the bureacracy would be able to curtail all the corruption in it is fool hardy. But, we should be able to feel comfortable with the idea that that person will not become a part of or even lead the corruption or, and possibly even worse, that that person has no idea of the corruption going on in his administartion.”

“Yes I am, with some fixes for the problems then, I don't think this is necessary, and it is completely unwarranted Are you comfortable with people you do not know looking into your bank records, listening to your intimate phone calls, reading your inner most thoughts, and searching your underwear basket. I remember a time when the people of this country were up in arms, because they heard, that people in the Soviet Union were subjected to this kind of scrutiny. What happened, did I go to sleep wake up in the Soviet Union circa 1960.”

FindMeWherever on Jun 6, 2013 at 15:33:47

“1. As a citizen are you OK with recanting the entire system and going to pre-911 system?

Yes, because I believe 9/11 could have been prevented by a more competent administration with the same tools the Clinton administration had.

2. Can you live with the consequences of this decision if something big happened in the interim?

Yes, because preserving our fundamental values and way of life is more important than turning the entire country into a surveillance state. Even if this means myself and my entire family died in the process, I would want freedom to still be a possibility for the future of mankind. When we give up our core principles for a little more safety, it starts an avalanche effect, as you have described. The costs do not outweigh the benefits. Terrorism has always existed. No country or empire will be able to end it entirely. The end.”
