The Biggest Political Disappointments Of 2009

The Biggest Political Disappointments Of 2009

Commented Dec 29, 2009 at 01:15:47 in Politics

“The Obama Presidency so far is like a reality show gone bad....monumentally disappointing. He is more gift wrap than gift, more talk than action, more sizzle than steak. He seems to lack the leadership abilities we all thought he had and hope he starts taking the lead on pressing issues if he has it in him, instead of sending others into the eye of the storm than hanging on the sidelines to see if they accomplish something he can take credit for. I fear his ego is bigger than we realized, his presidency is about him and his image instead of our country and what's good for the American people. I fear we will be looking for a new Democratic candidate for President com 2012.”

“Obama is proving to be a serious disappointment to the people who elected him. He does not posess leadership ability. He is a phony who tries to bluff his way through things by letting others take the lead and trying to take the credit for what they accomplish. He has done this repeatedly, including as an Illinois Senator. I'm glad we are on to his deceitful modus operandi early on so he can't continue to be surreptiously incompetent, he will be called on his sly scheming way of doing things before he can do any more damage. We did not elect Rahm Emanuel President, so this should not be the RahmObama Presidency.”

LittleRedHenSez replied on Dec 27, 2009 at 20:40:20

“Obviously YOU don't like Obama and didn't vote for him. And please don't post and tell me I don't know how you voted because if you voted for someone for whom you have such utter disdain, then how stoopid ru. How quickly you have forgotten Donald Regan, Reagan's chief of staff who was totally involved in day-to-day policy decisions.”

“When I voted for Obama, I had no way of knowing it would turn into the RahmObama Administration. Frankly I'm hugely surprised at the lies, deceit & hypocricy of Barack Obama. Now we know what we have to look President Obama. The man seems to be a heavyweight talker with his frilly & flowery speeches, but a lightweight perfromer, preferring to send others into the storm while he cowers & watches to see if they sink or swim. Of course he wants to take credit if they swim . This man appears to be a self serving opportunist who will say anything to get his way, including blatent lies. I don't listen to him anymore...remember fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice..shame on me. I It's hard to say as a staunch Democrat, but I certainly hope he is a 1 term President. We may as well have a lying Republican as a lying Democrat in the White House.”

Commented Dec 22, 2009 at 15:40:46 in Politics

“I'm not surprised that President Obama no longer wants to admit who he really is. He is a growing disappointment to the people who elected him. He is all wrapping and no gift - all sizzle & no steak.
Obama seems not to have the strong stomach or thick skin for a job that requires both. I also think he is an ego driven narcissist. He seems to have dumped his responsibility as senator from Illinois on others, voting "present" more than 100 times, including the pro choice issue, which he claimed to be for, instead of having the cajones to commit himself and let people know what his honest position was-is. But at that time he had running for President in mind, so he felt he was safer by not offending either side so he could play both sides and the middle during his campaign. His lack of courage & strength of leadership is now wearing very thin with his supporters and I feel if this sorry & deceitful behavior continues, he will be a 1 term president - it's up to Barry.”

Let's see the records of her Madoff investments and the losses she incurred...This crazy phony gold digger in her life tries to jump on the publicity bandwagon everytime any news comes out, he trieds to use it for personal publicity. I can't believe more people aren't expressing more suspicion of him. The Madoff scheme would be also be a good excuse for someone to try to hide their squandering of someone else's money, now wouldn't it? “I hope and pray that President Obama steps up to the plate as a leader and not an appeaser, which will get US nowhere. He need/desire to be inclusive is impeding the progress of our party/country and the implementation of the plans/policies he campaigned on. So far, I hate to say, he comes off as a weak leader and his mistakes, such as putting Tim Geithner in charge of the treasury, will come back to haunt him. Most importantly, I hope he soon starts demonstrate some leadership ability before it's too late.”

“I'm so glad to hear Arianna bring this up - the took the very thought from my mind. It is lunacy to preempt all other news stores for something so ultimately meaningless to most people. To Make it worse, I turned on Air American, and that is what they were talking about. Sad and sick. Bad enough that MSNBC talks about Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck 24/7, people are deprived of real news events because it appears the talking head shows are more interested in Rush and Glenn than they are their own dignity. They have done more for Rush and Beck's careers than Rush and Beck have done for themselves. I havn't heart Fox News ranting every night about Chris, Keith, Rachel, Ed Schultz, etc. They're too smart for that. They promote themselves on their time, not other talking heads on other stations.”
