“Nicka, We obviously share the same understanding on this topic. You express it so much better than I can. I do hope your words are read by a few women that will receive your message. Stepping into the unknown future and outside of our known danger zones does scare most of us...but it is the only way to to move FORWARD in our lives. Women need to do this for themselves and for their children. As Maya Angelo's grandmother would have said...Step out on the word of Jesus, and TRUST him to hold your hand.”
“James, You be sure and remember your words and use them when you stand next to your Mother, Sister, or Daughter's bedside. Hopefully your wife's bedside talks will never require this conversation. There are no females on this earth who are immune from this violence...just some who falsly believe that it could never happen to them. All over this world in every culture and country, women suffer from this type of abuse.”
“Very old argument, MJS. It works well for those who wish to own unregistered guns and justify their actions. Kind of smacks them in the face when they are found to be in possession of guns not registered to them, doesn't it? No government (gubmint) is attempting to remove your legally owned weapons. Get over your fear and get on with your life. IF you believe in our people, you would know how difficult it would be for the 'gubmint' to take away legal weapons from our citizens. IF the boogey man ever appears and wants to use a list of registered gun owners for the purpose of removing their guns from them, we all know that will just be the beginning of a major war within the USA. Just being REAL here.”
“Mental illness is the root cause of this shooting (in my opinion). Had this young man been diagnosed with mental illness prior to this shooting? If so, there should be laws in place to prevent his access to guns until he had been declared sane once again. I realize some mental illness requires life long treatment and yet others are more of a short term affliction (depression and/or stress disorders). Those who are convicted violent felons and/or currently suffering with diagnosed mental illness should have NO access to guns.
WHY do we put the emphasis on removing guns, when the root cause of the majority of these multiple shootings seems to be mental illness? Treatment for the mentally ill in our nation is not a priority coverage by private insurance coverage and/or medicare-medicade. As a society, we have yet to drag mental illness out of our collective closets and assign it the priority needed to successfully deal with it.
Recently this young man's family tried to notify the local police of their concerns regarding his statements in his videos and the police didn't recognize any warning signs when they interviewed him. Perhaps enhanced training for our police and including a medical professional trained in recognizing mental illnesses in the interview process that determines who is a risk to our community would be well advised?”

“...gee how many Psychological professionals does it take to declare someone is mentally ill to you?
This guy was under the care of three different doctors according to The Guardian..maybe instead of buying him a BMW...Mom should have given him a "vacation in San Luis Obispo"s Atascadero Hospital"....”

“Even after his folks called the police and told the police about this guy's mental problems, it was not enough to take his guns, not even just for a little while. The problem is that we ALWAYS err on the side of gun ownership and never on the side of public safety.”

“He was diagnosed with mental illness. He was under the care of 2 mental health professionals.
He bought lots of guns and used them for their intention.
Mental illness + easy access to high casualty guns= disaster.”
“Thank you Mr. President for visiting our brave toops where they have been serving our nation and sacrificing their valued time and lives for all of us. For all of our military who have served in Afghanistan and/or Iraq or within other nations in this war, I extend to you my sincere appreciation and respect for your service. May God Bless you now and as you return home. I pledge to continue to vote in support of veterans care & support when they do come home.”
“Grateful for Tom Steyer and his concerns for our environment. IF only more Republicans would take the time to independently investigate the process of Fracking and to understand the high risks associated with it, I do not believe they would be voting in favor of it. Unfortunately the majority seem to just take the promise given in PR ads paid for by those who stand to profit from the Keystone project. Most of us don't have the deep pockets needed to challenge the Koch's on their false assurances to our voting public. Big thanks to Tom Steyer!!”
“Let's see...Bill had the burden of working in an ice cream shop as a teenager and because of this, his view is he had no 'white privilege'? I worked in the summer at a photo lab developing film as a teen and I do see myself as privileged compared to the Mexican teens in my public school who worked in the fields picking pickles from sun up until sundown in late summer. THAT was some back breaking, heat intense, heavy physical work. I live in rural NE Indiana and am a Senior Citizen now. Those Mexican teens in my public school back then had come up here on busses from Mexico because of farming needs of a pickle factory in our area. Many families ended up staying here year around and making roots in our community and having children here. The parents and the kids worked far harder physically than anyone in my family ever did. Some of the children born here went on be good solid citizens of our community. Some ended up on the wrong side of the law. All of them were raised under far more stress and less opportunities than what I experienced. That is just what it is (or was in this case).”
“As a divorced Mother of 2, dealing with survival issues for the 3 of us after my ex-husband disappeared, I discoved my pregnancy. This was when abortions had 1st become legal. I made the choice to care for the 2 children existing, I could not quit my factory job due to a 3rd pregnancy. All of these years later, I still feel I made the necessary choice, yet I did not find watching this video to be comfortable. I'm thankful for having had that choice. This is a rare occassion that I speak of having used my choice. Personally, I could not accept myself making a video of the experience. Once this young woman actually has her own child she may place a different perspective on this topic? Or maybe not.....Not in a position to judge anyone...just sharing my thoughts here.”
“It is irrelevant what Marco Rubio chooses to believe. If he chooses to continue to stick his head in the sand and ignore reality like the ostrich does, he is leaving his rear end exposed (as well as all those who choose to follow him). The truth about global warming and the rising ocean waters is self evident. As responsible human beings we need to look past personal politics, greed, and self interests to the long term health of our grandchildren and the environment we leave to them.
If anyone doubts the melting of ice bergs in the Artic, it is most easy to Google pictures and articles reporting and displaying these facts. IF anyone is too hard headed to believe what they read and view online, then spring open your wallet and take a cruise up that way. View it for yourself. This is not a hidden truth.”

“Professional call girls frequently make more money than other women professionals such as teachers, nurses, etc. I have no respect for the call girls, their money & possessions. I have a high regard for women who invest their higher self into promoting education, health, entertainment and the betterment of our society. Miley is definately a car crash in slow motion. She is imploding on herself and then of course the public will devour all the reporting done on how low she sinks. Honestly reading her new low is what caused me to click on this story today. However, I would NOT have paid to read it. That is what is ahead of her. Madonna, she is not!”

“You have no idea what you are talking about. Are you aware of her philanthropic work. Please tell me abut the horror of her personal life? Tell me what scandal makes her such a terrible person? And while it is not the ultimate standard we should judge her by, fora girl to go form a small neighborhood in Tennessee to being able to demand $500,000 per show by 21 is not exactly the work of a slacker, You are right, she is not Madonna...she is a child of Madonna.”
“Sounds like a pretty clumsy spy. Reality is that we spy on other countries and they do the same back to us. Would have been nice if this article would have told us more details of what occurred after the spy was discovered. I am no supporter of the extreme amount of aid & support our nation offers to Israel. I feel it needs to be toned down and we should not be so heavily biased with favoritism towards Israel.”

“Pretty clumsy spy and pretty thin too - according to the King David Hotel, even a cat cannot enter the narrow ventilation tunnels in the hotel.”
“Monica made an unfortunate choice as a young woman. Many young women are guilty of the same. Her bad choice made world news and humiliated her in excess due to the availability of the internet and the distasteful mockery that resides in humanity. What are Monica's blessings? Her faithful, loving Mom & Dad! I want to share with Monica what a treasure she has there in their love. I hope that will be the nugget of gold she will bring forward in her own life from this experience.”
“This kidnapping requires not just the 'do something' response. It requires the actual rescue of these young girls from their kidnappers. IF only the Americans are willing to help, so be it. I have no problem with my tax money being spent on this rescue. I will pray for and support every agent from the US that is willing to participate in their rescue. This is a mission against evil. When good does not combat evil, we will see evil rule.”
“I don't really care if it is our National Guard, CIA or FBI. I have no problem with my tax dollars being spent to assist in rescuing these little girls. WHY are other governments not stepping up and offering assistance? I don't know, however, the last time I chose to make the right step, I didn't hesitate to see who was going to accompany me. No...I don't want to see our country get involved in the politics of Nigeria...but rescuing kidnapped little girls who are being sold as wives...oh yeah!!”
“Cadawa Waller, I suggest you find an iceberg and hug it for comfort this evening. Comparing the kidnapping and selling of these little girls lives to bank heists and S&L fraud is repulsive on every level of my conscious. My disgust for your comment is unspeakable.”

“Why dont you pack your bags go to Nigeria and go look for yourself I bet you wouldnt last a week in the bush.”
“I'm sure someone switched those bags on her. She doesn't know where this came from? Casual clothing, a few sets of undies and nighties, and cosmetics were the contents in her bags. Best defense I can think of...unless the bags happen to carry her finger prints?? IF her prints are on those lb bags, she is toasted!!”
