So discrimination should be tolerated so some 'stubborn individuals' don't have to modify their behaviors and attitudes?

“Yes.
First of all: I'm love the gays. My best friend is gay, not that this really makes a difference one way or another. I don't think the government has any place in doling and enforcing marriage contracts.
Second of all: Some folks are just never going to get along. For whatever reason, certain people don't like certain things about other people. That's cool, I don't really care. Unless there is some loss of property or livelihood incurred by an offending party, there is no crime committed. I am allowed to hold whatever "prejudice" I want against whomever I want. The mind is the only thing that is truly yours in the world, when push comes to shove. With that being said, if I act on those prejudices in a way that deprives someone of their natural rights, then I will be processed by our judicial system in order to make the defending party "whole" again.
You can legislate against actions. You cannot legislate against feelings.”

What next, showing off scalp or ear collections?
Suddenly it's ok when Democrats do it?
It's not. It's twice a pathetic.
Oppose McCain on his congressional record, god knows there is enough there to turn anybody off.”

“Where was your "righteous indignation" when Kerry was wrongly "swift boated"? Kerry's attacks were false; this article exposes the fraud that is McCain. War hero? BS.
He is running commercials here in Ohio trumpeting his supposed war hero status. That makes this inquiry relevant.
McCain needs to sign Standard Form 180. It always seemed incredulous that McCain could qualify for flight school when finishing 894 out of 899 in his class. If the Navy had not used nepotism; if his daddy the admiral had not made life and promotions easy for McCain, he wouldn't have been in the position to wreck those 5 Navy planes. He would have not been in the position to cause that major fire on the carrier. And most importantly, he would not have been in a position to collaborate with the North Vietnamese when he was a "POW".
It is ironic; McCain opposes affirmative action, the legitimate policy that encourages employers and others to consider applicants from all backgrounds as opposed to just from the majority population. However, he has benefited from the worst type of set asides for unqualified applicants: nepotism, his entire life.
He is unqualified to be president.”

“Military or heroic enough is not the question, it is about character. Did you read the article? This is about how a failed student and aviator got by because of daddy and grand-daddy. The point is that this man never got anywhere on his own. Not in the military (thanks to his family) and not in politics (thanks to his wife's family). Once he went on the war bio tour and started pushing his military record aggressively, it all became fair game. We are entitled to the truth of his military record if we are supposed to entrust our future and our children's future based on that supposed expertise.”
