Commented Oct 15, 2009 at 00:14:55 in World

“No, he should not resign. If he did it would be seen for what it was, a cheap, grandstanding stunt. Joe is better than that. We need to get out of Afghanistan asap, but this is not how you do it.”

rick91 replied on Oct 15, 2009 at 00:20:16

“THAT is the best and most accurate response to this Ariann's post.
Resigning would be an EXTREME and absurd stunt.

“I think AH's attention is misplaced. This is BHO's issue. It is his time to step up. It is his time to show some political courage and get out of Afghanistan.”

HadBetterDays replied on Oct 14, 2009 at 16:32:42

“But BO is too eager to win the world's love and approval to take a principaled stand on anything. He has a clear pattern of only taking a "partial" stand when his political interests absolutely depend on it. ( i.e. the speech at the gay activist's dinner when it was obvious that he was about to loose a very important constituency).”

What the hell do you people think the rest of the world is thinking. I stop watching morning joe during the primaries when I witnessed Pat Buchannan tell a black female commentator to, "Shut Up." and when Joe walked of the set when Rachel was commenting.”

Let My Data Go!

Commented Sep 27, 2009 at 14:32:04 in Technology

“I love Hpo's new Technology section. I particularly like today's offering. The big headline and the striking graphics and this beautiful objective piece about electronic mail and how the industry intends to advance data mining going forward. Yesterday was great also when we had a headline about Apple and how this technology company intends to innovate its way through the recession. I like also the piece about how environmentally aware Apple has become.
My congratulations to your Technology section editor. Keep up the good work.”

UK Study Misleads Public by Ignoring Documented Health and Environmental Benefits of Organic Food

Commented Jul 31, 2009 at 11:09:45 in Green

“So who am I supposed to believe here ... The United Kingdom's Food Standards Agency or the chief executive of a for profit organic food company. If there was an envoirnmental debate between the E.P.A. and Exxon, who would you believe ?”

“The EPA is full of Reagan appointees devoted to anti-environmentalism. Greeeoow oouop.”

DouginCT replied on Jul 31, 2009 at 11:57:35

“You believe common sense here. Forget that it's the CEO of Stonyfield (I would be skeptical about any CEO of piping into an argument in which he has a vested stake).

This is all about business vs. the natural order of things, which our bodies are long accustomed to genetically. Our disruption of the natural food system with synthetics for increased food production is recent in our genetic history. Do you really have to wonder where all these allergies, cancers, and other disruptions are coming from? This is not....rocket science.

Food grown in healthy soil, without synthetic and in some cases carcinogenic fertilizers and pesticides, is of course what the body craves and needs. This isn't hippy talk...just common sense.”

AngieMom57 replied on Jul 31, 2009 at 11:34:56

“We are a human experiment, I suggest you take that to heart and instead of asking who to "believe here"

Suggestion: have a simple basic blood test now, then improve your diet & excessive routine, do the preventative stuff and then in 6 months to a year have another simple basic blood test; the proof is in your numbers on a very easy to read chart.

Then you can start thinking about the farmers who have to handle and breath the chemicals of these fertilizers and pesticides forty plus hours a week.”

luzcannon replied on Jul 31, 2009 at 11:24:37

“Believe yourself, hopefull. Just taste the difference, and see how your body feels when you eat organic.”
