“Marines have been holding umbrellas for every President since they've been assigned to them. Your argument has no basis except to be prejudiced, or slanted. Plus, a marine on duty such as the one above, has very little on his mind except to stand there and salute and wath out for the President. The President, on the other hand, has quite a bit more on his plate than what you're giving credit. After reading your post, it's quite clear you do not have much understanding of being human. Much less understanding how to express oneself through proper grammar (your post is a difficult read).”
“You're exactly right, it is a disgrace. I see it as a money issue, as are all issues in this country. Whether it's war, or gun control, equivelant compesation for work at today's inflation, healthcare, education (or lack thereof), and many others... it's all about money. This country is run by corporations and lobbyist groups that have politicians in their collective pockets. Almost every decision not made by the public (and even a lot of those too) can be traced by the want of more money by those in power and those who want for themselves.”

“How stupid can you be? These names were painted in 1918 on the exterior wall of a privately owned building by private owners, a newspaper company. The city of clearwater was formed in 1915 and there were only about 400 to 500 people living there. Three years later, the emply lot next door was developed - NOTE - 3 YEARS LATER - as the Capital Theater by those private owners. This area was the downtown area and buildings were built wall against wall. What was then the exterior wall became a common wall, and the listing was now on the inside of the new building. It was NOT A PUBLIC monument - just some PRIVATE tribute.
So, if I go out now and write down all the names of all those who died in Iraq War on the floor boards of my deck, does that mean that 3 years from now I can't replace those boards? Will I have a public monument 3 years from now that can't be disturbed? Do you understand it yet? Why do you jump so quick to criticize WHAT YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Stumpy, Stumpy, Stumpy!??! I'm only stupid enough as to have a written conversation with the likes of you. With that said I can't resist the furthering of your grammatical lesson.
So the ellipses points you use after, "typo", are to be three periods in-a-row and not to stop at two. And you have, because of the use of ellipses points, made more "typos", or what some call... grammatical errors. In this case, your 1st sentence was a statement, and the 2nd a question. Therefore not a continuation of the 1st (like my example two sentences prior). Probably too hard for you to understand and I kind of like it that way since you'll come back with another accusation of my inability to count (albeit with no evidence and now lost as to why you declared so initially), and the use of CAPITAL LETTERS to emphasize your limit on the English language, not to mention and in my opinion their misplacement. With that said, I think it would of been more appropriate to capitalize the word, "five", instead. But that's just me. You, STUMPY, are gonna' do what you wanna' do. PEACE!!!”
“It's strongly thought that the ages of 3 to 6 are the most important years in the development of a human. Traumatic events in the childs life during that period can be extremely traumatic, like this, or smaller - more inane - instances like, your mother telling you not to smoke whilst smoking herself and so on. It will take strong parenting and strong and proper support to help him get through, but it seems life has changed dramatically for this little guy and it will effect him forever... just hopefully not in a truly negative way.”
“Sounds lovely and sweet, but not a single answer to the questions and you've already contradicted yourself. ~~~ "...but if we are right and you are wrong, you have everyhting to lose my dear friend. Your soul..---/------ ", was contradicted by your comment, "Do I believe they have gone to hell, I have no clue, I dont judge you or anyone else."
Not to mention the fact that you say you know "beyond a shadow of a doubt" that Jesus was who he said he is, knowing that there is no tangible way you can say that. You are about 2k years behind him and never physically knew him. And miracles are just coincidences, and to prove my point (if you really want to be honest and forthright),... I'll bet you don't have to think back to hard to a prayer that was unanswered or a request to your god for a miracle that never came. But with all that said... I'm sure you'll say something goofy and wishy-washy about how "you just know" or something along those lines. That's all faith gives to one; the ability to excuse the facts and just say, "I just know", or something like that. And that doesn't prove anything and looks ridiculous to those who are truly enlightened and know that belief in the deity of your choice is wrong behavior at this point in time.”
“Sorry mate, but I've never been offended, nor do I know of anyone who is, by a cross or any other religious totems. Most of us are only offended by outspokeness and the preachiness of those following religions. Some atheists are passionate (like anyone else) and feel that this religious thing is holding back inovation, enlightenment, mindful evolution, education, etc, etc. The only the problem an atheist might have, for the most part, is to look at religious people as sympathetic beings that are not up to date and up to par. I'm assuming you hang around some bad people or are bothersome in your rhetoric to get any negative responses. Besides, if anyone is offended by words, religious totems, preachings, etc.... then I'd suggest ignoring them and they would ignore you in return. And that goes both ways. Don't confuse Facebook, media sites like this, and the like to be attacks and look into your daily life of interacting with real people and see if your claims are still backed.
And one last thing... don't overdo it on your examples like the last one sent to me, as it reeks of exaggerations, overdone drama, lack of understanding, and nepotism and narcissism. Not to mention your apparant misunderstanding and prejudice against Islamists.

“It is not prejudice to state a fact. Go out, stand in front of many a Muslim, display a picture of The Prophet and see what happens. Or, threaten to Burn or Deface a Koran/Quran. Also, I have worked with many an Atheists. About ten years ago, some form of Angry Atheists seem to have taken over the whole idea, equating just Not Believing in a God to Dammit, don't even MENTION your religion to me. That is why the number of stupid lawsuits have increased. If you one of the Old Style Atheists of Yore, live and let live, good for you. Unfortunately, at least where I live, Atheists seem to be constantly spoiling for a fight. Have a Nice Day!”
“Approx 98% of humans who've walked this earth are not and were not followers of christ. So according to your belief, they've gone to hell, or been banished from heaven, forever to walk the earth or whatever your denomonation says to believe. I'd never belong to a club that professes such biasness, especially of all we know and are discovering. I'm nearly 50 yrs old and the christians lost me around 10 when piping Old Testement b.s. down our throats and haven't bought into the system ever since. Besides, everything I've ever learned of a god(s) is that it is all encompassing and all loving and forgiving. Problem is, that those who choose to follow seem to have lost that message, and now people such as myself are getting the answers to lifes questions through science, research. and discovery. And doing so without a god or gods, heaven, nor charlatans like Jesus and other assorted prophets of their respective religions.
Religion is interesting to me only because of my interest in what makes people do what they do, believe what they believe, understand what they understand, and so on. I only look at it from an anthropological standpoint. The idea of faith is lovely but preposterous and unfounded. I could bring arguments against religions all night and all day if I had your audience and you were willing to listen. But to sum up, there is no logical argument known to mankind, that supports the basis of any religion.”

“There is one thing for sure my friend. I know Him, and you will too. Every knee shall bow and everyone will confess that He is Lord. No be fooled.”

“My dear friend, I am nearly 55 years young. There are many things in the good book the (BiBle) that supports all that I believe in. Yes there may not be anything tangable, but so much from faith. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus is real. I have seem miricles in my life as I worked over seas. There is a heaven and a hell. You ask me how I know, I just know my dear friend. I know he lives in my heart. He shows me when I am wrong. There are so many that have died wirhout knowing Christ, or ever heard of him. How can you believe , if you have not heard. Do I believe they have gone to hell, I have no clue, I dont judge you or anyone else. I just know I have failed. I do believe Jesus has forgiven me, for I know He died for me and for you. I know He lives today and forever.”
“And it's in my nature to respond. Which is different than some god working in "mysterious ways". I'm right, you're right and that's the only feeling going on here.”
mlm5mc on Mar 31, 2013 at 20:11:13
“Maybe so but at least we can discuss this without being upset at each other. I have enjoyed chatting with you. Its all by faith, not by work, or deeds least no man should boast. I am committed as you are , '' be praying, for those who have the same veiws, --/-----”
“Like 98% of the people who have ever walked on this planet. Your argument is illogical anyway. I'm sure I live a better, kinder, empathetic, compassionate, honest, and sincere life than 75% of the christians I've ever met and that should put me to the front of your imaginary line. And now you'd better watch out, since you've just condemned me and you are nothing more than an ordinary soul... god's gotta' be pissed at you! You are supposed to exhibit love and affection, like your boy Jesus told y'all to -- not act like you are him and tell people off. (I could do this for days!, lol)”
mlm5mc on Mar 31, 2013 at 12:08:36
“my prayers are working I knew I would get a response. You see my friend He will be upset with me if I dont spread thehis word. You are probably right, you may be better than 75% of the people. You see I am and ordinary soul. That tells me you are aware that you have one. I do and I am expressing love. If I didn't care I wouldn't bother with you. I want you to understand, if you reject Christ, you condemn yourself. Its your choice to accept Christ. If you feel I am telling you off, then again I see you are listening. The only thing I am telling you is the truth.Today is the day of Salvation. I pray this day you will accept Him. Happy Easter --/----- ”
“Atheists just don't waste their time on such and it's better to leave them there so you can have a chance at "redemption" and get out of the make believe/religion frame of mind.”
p38l5 on Mar 31, 2013 at 23:24:21
“Then why do they go apoplectic when a teacher wears a cross, they see a cross or Christmas tree at a airport, etc? Angry Atheists hate crosses, claim you are "offending them" if you display one, act like they are being psychically attacked when someone dares show a religious symbol. Unless, of course, it is Muslim, because they are afraid if they insult Islam, someone will go Jihad on their butt. If you are secure in your own beliefs, others belief systems should not matter, unless they are physically attacking you.”
“Not really, we just like to laugh at the fools who still have the faith in make believe.”
mlm5mc on Mar 31, 2013 at 04:19:27
“I pray you change that throught and except Christ, for if you are right and we are wrong you have nothing to lose, but if we are right and you are wrong, you have everyhting to lose my dear friend. Your soul..---/------”
“Stumpy, you missed your lesson and we are going to have to fail you. Mainly for speaking/writing in incomplete sentences, but apparantly your math skills need some sharpening up too. Good luck with your bad karma.”
