“Agriculture has three years before the laws apply. Three years is plenty of time for farmers to find workers through the H-2A visa program. (and have it streamlined. Something that was in progress when Secretary Janet Napolitano put a stop to it as her first act in her new job in 2009)”

“Yeah, you would think the farmers would of applied for H-2A visas. They are unlimited.
The bill excludes agriculture. Read it.”

“When a mismatch occurs, it takes two hours to two days to fix on average. Usually it's a woman who never changed her name after marriage. It doesn't keep citizens from working.

What we are doing now is keeping citizens from working.”

“Sorry, but this really does not make sense. Because I didn't change my last name after I got married, I can't work?! There is nothing that states I need to change my last name because I got married. Being as I have had the same last name for 25 years, how does getting married change my chance of getting a job?”

“It's not proper documents, it's permission. Without permission to work here from the government, only citizens, visa workers and green card holder can legally work. It's the law.”

“Who checks these stories out? Take back Washington is a small group of friends in Washington state, the other groups are small organizations, some have websites missing.

Give me a couple of hours and I'll throw up a website.”

“Rep. Lamar Smith (R., Texas) bill excludes agriculture. That does not seem to stop some representatives and senators from using it as an excuse.”

“"Violates individual civil liberties such as the right to work and free speech" the right to work is not a civil liberty. It's a right given to citizens and those here on visas and green cards. It is not a right of those here illegally.

Agriculture is not the problem. We have the H-2A visas for agriculture that are unlimited. It those working outside of agriculture.

Everyone is so concerned over everyones rights, except the American worker. When did the American worker lose his rights?

Republicans have a good shot at building numbers in 2012, if they go soft on immigration enforcement they could blow it and dump the country back to Obama.”

“Article has several good points, I don't believe the owners claim of financial loss either. The problem is several owners with empty pockets that will pay anything to win. The other owners refuse to address this issue and force them to be financially responsibile.”
