“Job recovery from the Bush recession can't be bought overnight. Obama is smart to focus on cause over symptoms.”

“The proximate cause is deficient aggregate demand. (The ultimate cause is, of course the financial crisis and the drop in housing prices that caused the decrease in aggregate demand.)
Therefore the solution is to use stimulative monetary and fiscal policy to increase aggregate demand.
Reform of the financial system is needed so that this will not happen again, but such reform will not create even one addtional job in the near future.”

“Totally agree. That is why the stimulus aimed at healing big investment banks has been so questionable. Particularly when there has been little to re-regulate casino practices and curtail commodities markets that drive up the price of everything from porkbellies to oil. And forsaking the long standing rule that monopolies are evil thieves, instead of people friendly.”

President Obama's Answers to My Questions

“What?
Why should anyone believe your baseless assertions?
Do you think he had a doubler go to Arlington Cemetery last week to talk to a person visiting their friends grave sites?
I am certain the provenance of the Presidents Statements can be attained from the White House, so if you are so suspicious I urge you to do your homework.”

Catholic Church Threatens To Stop Feeding Homeless Over Gay Marriage

“As an atheist I volunteered along with my Jewish friend in the offices of a Catholic Homeless shelter. It was rewarding and gave me a way to help without being religious. I found the St. Vincent De Paul shelter was not too domineering in their religious fervor, but this disturbs me. Either you care about the poor or you are a lobbying group and lobbying groups should pay taxes, period.”
