“And quit quoting people who never had to live in the modern world with modern problems....instead of being smug and quoting someone else.. why don't you guys say something... quotable...that was written all by yourself....say something noteworthy that will make everyone else want to quote you....it's irritating when people run to google and start looking up words of others to convey their own messages....”

“Send 30.000 empty suitcases to Afghanistan, fill them with personal effects. Load them onto a series of cargo jets. Return to USA.
Then, send an air-armada of Gulf-stream jets, fill them with champagne and Marines, and return them to the USA.
Leave all armaments, and let them sort out their own affairs.
Spend the 30 Billion saved on free birth control for Americans in perpetuity.

“Obama is a good one, because with all the crying and whining going on from every single faction of this country, I don't even understand why he would want to be the president! Boo hoo...people need to quit crying and get off of their buts and do something! If you don't like the nation that surrounds you either be the change you want to see or you are free to go! If you don't want to help then after 8 years of Bush I refuse to sit still any further and listen to you complain. Get off the computer and get involved, otherwise you are a part of the problem and doing nothing toward the solutions we need around here! The crazy people are in the streets everyday...with their crazy signs and empty words...those of you who feel so enlightened should use their intelligence for good..instead of doing the same thing a four year old would do...put some verbs in your sentences and do something positive to see your goals realized or please I am begging you...shut the heck up.”

“I am so floored at what people don't get about we can not just wake up tomorrow and move all of our troops out..that is not how it happens people this is a war not a game of monopoly where as soon as you have given all your good properties away and land on your friends boardwalk with three hotels you decide you don't want to play anymore. Setting a timetable is a good idea, and giving a real mission which the previous admin neglected to do is a good place to start in order to wind this thing down. As a former troop I know that a war just doesn't end in a week because we would like it to. He had no good options and for all the people jumping down his throat right now, I sure would like to know where these folks were while the previous admin was getting us into all of this mess in the first place. The president and the military are not going to allow us to know all of the info because it is not in our safety's interest to do so. It would put the troops at further risk if they told us every detail that they know, so I wish people would stop assuming they are right based on the "facts" they are not privy to the same info that those in confidential areas are...”

“As a veteran it amuses me at how all of the people discussing this situation think that they know everything that there is to know about what is going on...none of you do..including me! You can't just say ok..war over lets go home...that's not how things work. He bs in one hand and crap in the other...he is doing the best that he can with what cooperation he has. He knows wayyy more than any of us do. I don't think he is excited to do it this way, but when given no great options, then I guess you do what you can. More troops mean more opportunity for our guys to accomplish a clear mission and get out...they is safety in numbers....”

“Completely agree. As much as I despised Bush for the Iraq debacle and the countless lives lost because of it, I'm not naive enough to think I'm fully informed on the situation in Afghanistan. I don't have an ego large enough to think I see things more clearly than our generals and Commander in Chief.
I have no reason to believe Obama's ambitions or motives are as skewed as those of his predecessor. Blind opposition to war isn't any less ignorant than blind support of it.”

“The man hasn't been in the office a whole year yet....and you are expecting him to have everything solved!?? Seriously? It didn't take 10 months for all of our ills to become a reality and they were never going to be solved that quickly either. But what makes me the most angry, is all of this discussion of it as though that were ever possible...it's not real and e all know it. Even worse are the people who are blaming Obama instead of these knuckleheads in congress who are not helping the adgenda.Turncoats like Lieberman who need to be voted out asap, who are hindering the process. O thought he had a congress that supported him, we no see that they just lied to help themselves get elected.”
