“I am sad to see this show end. It was one of the only shows on The Learning Channel where I actually learned something, and after watching it for awhile I noticed that I started trying on clothes that I normally would reject on the rack. It was interesting to watch the evolution of the contributor each week and at the end all of them looked better than when they started. I don't watch reality tv, but I made an exception for this one because it was uplifting. The contributors were not laughed at or mocked, they were encouraged with a little humor and tough love.”
“He's lived in the apartment since 1979. It is his home. It may not be a house but it is a home. I consider my rented apartment (26 years) to be my home and I have put a lot of work into keeping it nice and in good repair.”
“You said the same thing on another post. It is a very simplified response to a multilayered issue that you choose to see in your own simplified way. In other words, you just don't get it.”

“And that is part of the problem. By claiming everything is "complicated, or multi-layered" we absolve ourselves of any responsibility for the outcome. We can just fall back on "you just don't understand", or "you don't get it". It is much easier to be a complainer when you can point the finger elsewhere.
Life can be extremely simple, if you just let it be. For example, I'm 40 lbs overweight (my wife doesn't seem to mind). I could claim there are a myriad of "multilayered issues" why I'm not thinner, but you know what? I'm fat because I choose to lead a sedentary lifestyle and don't burn more calories than I consume. It's that simple. I'm not going to blame my obesity on any one but me. I'm also not complaining about the disadvantages of being overweight.”
“I don't care that you (HP) choose to carry a story like this (which I did not read). But I am offended by the stock photograph you used on the NY page. There is no good reason why I should have to look at that while I'm seeing what's going on in my city. You disgust me.”

“Pick your battles. You'll live longer.
Not worth getting your panties in an uproar over a pic of a guy with hairy legs sitting on a commode.”

“Oh, grow a pair. How are you going to handle major issues in life if you get so freaked out by one photo? Do you have kids? Have you ever changed a diaper? It's not like they showed a photo of actual poo.”
