With all the journalism graduates looking for work across the country, all the reporters with great records who can't make enough of a living in the media circus -- FOX could easily replace this clown with someone reputable and worth watching for more than comic content.

The American viewing public deserves much, much better from a major t.v. prime time slot.

Just imagine.”

No Difference Between President Obama and Candidate Obama

Commented Nov 03, 2009 at 14:52:07 in Politics

“Mr. Plouffe, I applaud your dedication to President Obama and I agree that he has taken many necessary steps to improve the situation our imperiled country is in right now, but I have to agree with Ms. Huffington that it just hasn't been enough and that his governing style is timid in comparison to his style as a candidate.

Instead of encouraging the banks to extend credit to small businesses the President should be demanding it. Instead of trying to convince one Republican Senator to support the Public Option he should insist that every Democrat do so. Instead of the administration dragging its feet on closing Guantanamo, it should be accelerating the process.

And the list goes on. I am proud to call Barack Obama my President but I will be prouder still when I finally feel like he truly is standing up for me and the rest of the American Middle Class by enacting effective policies that actually help. So far only the banks have gotten any real help from the Obama administration. I understand that the country is better off today because a repeat of the Great Depression has been averted, but we in the Middle Class have yet to reap the benefits. How much longer will we have to wait?”

“This kind of action by the President is a perfect example of one of the fundamental differences between liberals and conservatives.

Liberals would rather be open and honest about what the wars are costing us. Conservatives would rather keep the cost of the wars as far out of the minds of the voters as possible.

Controlling information means controlling thought, and thought control is the ultimate end game for conservatives. Why? Because it's bad for business when people's consciences get in the way of making a profit.”

“Admitting to getting the record wrong is better example of journalistic integrity as it applies to cable news or talk radio. Like on TRMS last night. It was a minor point but Rachel doesn't like getting things wrong so she went out of her way to correct herself.

I've never heard O'Reilly or Limbaugh ever say they were wrong about anything.

“O'Reilly has admitted mistakes. As for Limbaugh, you are making the obvious error of confusing him with a news broadcast. He doesn't have to be right or apologize-he has an OPINION show. Do you ever hear Olbermann apologize? Or Franken, when he was on the air? No. As long as they bloviate within FCC guidlines, they can say what they want. They don't have to meet your standards. You either listen or you don't. O'Reilly and limbaugh get more listeners and viewers than the liberal media universe combined.”

“You can blame them for not stopping her. If she was by herself that's one thing, but she had a boatload of children! She should have been tackled to the ground by her ex-husband if that's what it took to keep those kids safe.

And even if she was by herself she should have been stopped.

And nowhere in the story does it say the other kids' parents were at the party. She brought them there from her house and was returning home with them after she got hammered.”
