But every time people play a card like this in order to further themselves, it polarizes people to the point where a lot of people, albeit perhaps not the most tolerant, start linking stunts like his to the gay community. Simulation of oral sex does not belong on network tv, no matter if it's two men, two woman, a man and a woman, or a man and a walrus. Just because some people don't have a problem with that doesn't mean a lot others wouldn't. Respect for diversity has to be a two way street. It's just common sense.”

“I wish some of the Christians I know would become more vocal. The one's that I am referring to believe in evolution, support gay rights, and believe in a Jesus that taught tolerance and peace. Though I may not agree with some of their beliefs, I respect them. Why does the silly have to be so loud?”

I would hope that more celebs that act like that at in the wrong venues start receiving the same treatment, gay or straight.”

“In all honesty, I think it would be great to see more gay couples on television. It would be nice to see two guys kiss and not be a big deal. But what Lambert did, other than the kiss was in poor taste and vulgar to some. It's network, they try to keep it a bit cleaner, and that's fine. But it seems that those calling homophobia are sort of doing a disservice to a lot of people. First off, Lambert's lewdness shouldn't be viewed as a reflection of homosexuals. People are diverse no matter their preferences. And when people cry foul where there isn't any, doesn't that set people aside as victims. The gay community has a long way to go before they have universal acceptance. Instead of defending this dbag for going to far on network tv, let's work to make sure homosexuals have basic rights, like the right to marry.”
