“The only choice "the people" will be making is to cast their vote for sellout A, B or C. Anyone else will be culled by the parties and the media, and as a last resort, buried by the PACs.”

“Just what do you mean by sell-out? Sell out to who? I often see this sort of thing, and usually it can be translated to mean. "No one agrees with me 100%" I agree that there wouldn't be a dimes worth of difference between warren and clinton. Both come from the same ideological cloth. Neither have the slightest clue as to how business works. Both are wealthy out of touch liberals. So if your point is it doesn't matter who the democrats nominate I'll give you that, but in the general election the republican nominee will offer a stark difference to either one of them.”
“We should start by abolishing the phrase "health care" in these discussions. Insurance is not "health care". A five minute doctor's visit is not "health care".
There is little to no prevention. Research is directed almost exclusively towards finding a patent-able product, not finding a cure, or even a cause.
There is little hope for improvement as long as an entire industry is profiting from unhealthy individuals.”

“Faved. Thank you! They get paid (are rewarded for) for finding illness and often making patients even sicker.
Example: There is no money in finding a cure for cancer. Patents, patents, patents. That's all they care about. And they own the labs that do the test to keep their patients on drug studies the patient's don't even know about.”

“This is a good point. The cost of the premium is not the only for healthcare. There is a good study of the benefits of the plans published on the net today which gives a better picture of what these plans offer. It turns out the plans are not so cheap, 30 to 40% of the payments are on the plan holder after the deductible has been reach. The ceiling for total cost is around $20,000/year. Patients requiring long term care and hospitalization can still go bankrupt. In addition the plans generally offer limited networks and the payment for out of network is 100% on the patient. Childbirth costs covered by the policies are around 20%to 30%, the patient pays the rest. Many local hospitals have many doctors working there who are out of network. It may be the radiologist for example. It appears that the plans are not that cheap and coverage is not that good.
“Must be a nice time to be an insurance company. Drop policies, raise rates, place the blame on the government. Oddly enough, I could have sworn I heard the GOP praising the free market just the other day.”
“Mentally unstable, brainwashed by her parents... whatever the reason, it doesn't justify the number change.
I don't know a thing about her history, but I feel confident in claiming she wasn't going to win anyway. She has the mindset of a loser; and now gets to stand in the national spotlight for all the other mentally unstable to admire.”
“Well, the plan to prop up the economy with insurance and health industry subsidies is about to take effect.
Next year the food pyramid will be sponsored by McDonalds, Coke and Little Debbie. That, I am sure, will be followed quickly by the approval of a new rat poison, I mean artificial sweetner, and the further obfuscation of food labeling.
Remember. Nobody in this country makes money off of a healthy person. It's probably better for morale if we die off early anyway, while we can still fit through the door.”
“I would be truly shocked if he did. Obama, despite his campaign promises, has embraced the US war machine. I see no evidence that he has any problem with the indiscriminate killing or the breaking of US and international law in doing so. The rich and powerful reserve those rights for themselves, but they are never willing to extend them to those outside of their class - especially a lowly private.”
“Prisons, cops and wars, especially drug wars, are a conservative agenda.
Personally, I consider all sin taxes to be unethical. Around here they're always raising the tax on smokers to try to balance a budget - anything they can do to avoid sharing the costs equally. We'd never allow such a high tax on lipstick, or golf clubs.”

“Oh don't kid yourself. The Dems and Reps play good cop bad cop that is all. They both are more than happy to take special interest money for all of the above. ”
“Cool. Now post the results of one cheeseburger a day. One 2-liter of corn-syrup water. How about one frozen tv dinner. Aspertame. MSG. Corn dripping with round up. Car exhaust in the air. Fracking fluid in well water.
Stop pretending you care about anyone's health. You're doing nothing but attempting to impose your so-called morality on others.”
