“Don't forget that New Orleans re-elected Democrat William "Cold Cash" Jefferson. Unbelievable.”

Palin on SNL: What Did You Expect?

“If she's not ready to be President, then neither is Obama.”

“A common, worn out, illogical conflation. She's not ready. She was a small-town mayor, and has briefly been a small-state governor, with no evidence that she has ever considered matters of importance to the nation as a whole. She could dispel some of the criticism by taking questions from Americans, and responding to questions about her readiness, but she has refused to do so, despite constant clamoring for her to demonstrate that she has any knowledge of economic, military, foreign policy, or constitutional matters. We are forced to conclude that the reason she won't answer these questions is that she cannot. Her lack of experience does not disqualify her, but her refusal to answer questions does.
None of these have any parallels to Obama, who has been in state and national government for a decade, but more importantly, has articulated his positions on national and international matters, and passed legislation and given reasoned answers to constant questions and media and political scrutiny for nearly two years. He has been through dozens of debates, given countless interviews, put forth reams of data on his plans for America as regards domestic and foreign policy. You can disagree with Obama on his politics, but to claim that he has not given any indication of his political views is nonsensical. Which is the principal reason why America has overwhelmingly expressed a preference for Obama-Biden over McCain-Palin.”

“Do you really think that's a logical statement to make? Are you paying attention? Have you compared what she's said to what he's been saying? Do you limit yourself to just Fox News? Even so- is it not obvious to you that Obama and his team are much more consistent, productive, steady, and insightful than the McCain camp, particularly regarding economics? Does this election come down to bias vs. intelligence (or lack thereof)?”

“Please don't pretend that Sarah Palin is in any way ready to be President of the United States. We all know have eyes and ears to see and hear and we all know better. Barack Obama is so far ahead of her in intellect and natural ability - that to attempt to compare them is ridiculous. She should really go into show business, she would do very well. Do I want her negotiating a trade deal or making decisions about the use of military force? No.. it gives me nightmares to think about it.”

“Yes! Those unprepared good-for-nothings can BOTH stay home and exchange stories about when they were president of the Harvard Law Review and spent 15 years teaching Constitutional Law at a prestigious university, and drafted groundbreaking bipartisan legislation to secure losse nuclear material, and...
No, wait...”
No, wait...”

“Based on? Experience? Maybe. But what if you expanded the range of qualifications to, oh say... intelligence? Knowledge? Temperament? Intellectual curiosity? Respect of your peers? Vetting by the press? Tolerance?
Then Obama is much much readier by several orders of magnitude over Palin.”

Rooting for a Lost Cause -- Being a Braves Fan in a Long-Lost Season
Commented Sep 22, 2008 at 19:38:26 in Entertainment
“I am the reason that the Braves did not do well this season. For the first time in my life, I purchased the MLB cable package so I could view every game because my cable company would not be broadcasting many of their games on the regular channels. When I do something like this, it always goes wrong. I'll think twice next year before ordering.”
