“If I remember right the US did not declare war on anybody therefore there are no wars. Bring ALL of our troops home now!”

“Agreed. Why do we still have 50,000 troops in Germany for ? The cold war is over. The Germans have a strong army, Russia is no threat. The warsaw pact disbanded and NATO should have done the same thing, but they have done the opposite. Expanded to roll up on Russia's borders. Who is the aggressor here ?”

“Here we go again ... is America EVER going to come first? Are our tax dollars ever going to be spent in America? America IS NOT the world's police department. We need to get our big noses out of other countries' business. We need to get out of Afghanistan and Iraq now ... it would be nice to get out of Germany, France, England and all other nations where we have bases and CLOSE THEM. It is time to be a peaceful nation and take care of our own for a change. It makes me sick when we have homeless and hungry people HERE. This is a national shame!”

The Insincerity Of The Public Option Haters: Lieberman's Weasel

Commented Nov 24, 2009 at 16:44:57 in Politics

“I am so offended by this, this ... I can't find a word to describe him and weasel just insults REAL weasels. Joe has shown how duplicitous he is. I'm sure all this anger and hatred for the Democratic party goes back to the 2000, 2004 and 2006 elections. He thinks he is God's gift and the majority of Dems think he's a joke. He should be forced out of the Democrats' caucus if he tanks HCR. I WANT HIM TO LOSE HIS GAVEL. He needs to be held accountable. Hopefully President Obama won't be so forgiving this time.”

“If this is "liberal media" what do you suppose "conservative media" would look like? The more I hear about the "liberal biased media" the more I laugh. The break down of liberal media vs. conservative media is about 1 (liberal) for every 20 (conservative) with the conservatives yelling the loudest and most. The neo-con media doesn't let the truth get in their way either. I'm assuming they believe wholeheartedly in the old adage "if you repeat it often enough and loud enough it becomes true regardless of facts".”

I fail to understand why you are so insulted by this type of designation? It is just a name, it doesn't mean that Democrats are more Democratic than Republicans or Independents. Voters Are Turning Up The Heat While Congress Struggles To Understand

“I'm now unemployed ... if Baucus has the balls to come home for Christmas and spend some time with his constituents he should get an earful AGAIN and this time I intend to be an attendee. The last time he had his "listening tour" it was held at 9:00 am on a Monday. It was standing room only then and a lot of people who would have liked to attend were at work. Not this time though.

I also intend to let him know that I'm one of those angry constituents who emailed him every day while he dithered around with his GOP and blue dog buddies (gang of six) to gut the Finance Committee's bill and develop it as a give away to the for-profit HC insurance industry.”

Mark 1:40,41 "And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

"And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean."”

“Yes, Clinton lost the Dem majority in the first mid-term (1994) due to the filibuster king (Bob Dole) blocking all legislation then insisting the Congress was do-nothing Congress (the GOP left out the fact it was thanks to Dole's filibusters). It is the same old Dole game plan the GOP is running now hoping for the same results in 2010. Doesn't matter if you have no ideas, its all about power. Rather sad if you ask me.”

And another tidbit for you, when Ohio had the opportunity to destroy the 2004 ballots, the state of Ohio chose to retain them for historical purposes. Down the road AFTER I'm gone, these ballots will eventually be recounted showing what REALLY happened in the 2004 vote count in Ohio.”

“I don't have problems with the filibuster if it is not abused. However, when the average use of the filibuster for decades was 10 and since 1970 it has steadily climbed to the most recent record of 112 should speak volumes. Why does the same legislation have multiple filibusters? Why can't there be a limit of one filibuster per bill? With the rules written as is, it just encourages abuse by the minority. However, the biggest abusers seem to be the GOP. Has anybody noticed that when Democrats are in the minority they don't set records for the overuse of the filibuster? Just saying ...”
