“The few thousand gathered the other day and the slightly bigger march a few months ago doesn't even come anywhere close to the many hundreds of thousands who marched in protest of the presence of the republick party in New York City for their convention in '04. The march comprised of a solid wall of people from Union Square at Broadway and 14th St. all the way west to 8th Ave, up the avenue to 42nd St. down 42nd street down Broadway to 14th again. Yeah there was a lot of over-the-top signage, and offensive claims about the gop, but it was ultimately about the facts- in a nut shell, that the war in Iraq sucked and that it was a murderous lie and that the bush administration was stripping the citizenry of their privacy rights all in the name of a phony war on terror. The tea bagger's complaint against health care reform is so far off the mark as to it's claims to it being "socialistic" that my actual concerns about it's inadequacy easily trump their phony concerns.”
