“Finally a reporter that has the balls to ask a real question. I am stick and tired of all these so called journalists that are afraid to ask any questions. We had enough softballs, let's talk real facts and real policies. It's time for politicians to stop crying about the "media bias" grow a pair and answer the questions you have been dodging for the last 30 years.”
“Irrelevant statements?! I guess you missed the whole point about poverty being the key driver of violent crimes in inner city neighborhoods. Paul Ryan wants to cut taxes for the rich and make lower and middle class americans carry the burden. What do you think that is going to do to poor neighborhoods and in result to the number of violent crimes. The reporter was spot on. Paul Ryan talked about how we need to raise poor people up and improve living conditions in order to decrease the number of crimes... Paul Ryan wants to have the cake and eat it too and the reporter called him on it. Perhaps it's your comment or lack of understanding of the subject matter that is irrelevant?”

“Its not what you do, its the way you do it---the reporter was rude--he could have asked the same thing in much civilized way. Making other people embarrass, doesn't give you popularity--politeness is the key--”
“Paul Ryan doesnt think too much of the average voter huh? I mean who among us cares about the fact that Mitt and Ryan will end up increasing the tax rates on middle class americans during the worst economic conditions since... oh wait... That's right Mr. Ryan, middle class Americans do care and would love to hear about your voodoo mathematics. You do have the personality of a house plant, but dont worry we promise not to get bored. Please enlighten us with your mathematical brilliance.”
lombardsouth on Oct 1, 2012 at 15:38:13
“You don't have to increase tax rates to increase taxes on middle income Americans. You can even cut rates and raise taxes. You do this by increasing the tax base called "Taxable Income." Right now "taxable income" is well below actual income for most taxpayers. You increase that tax base by reducing middle income deductions, exemptions, and credits.”
“The fact that Obama is leading the polls is a statement on the economy and the fact that people are waking up to the fact that the Republicans have not intentions of helping this country or the middle class. Graham's statement is ignorant, bigotted and plain racist.
"It would tell me that it's more of a demographic race for president than it is a performance-based race.
So basically if you vote for Obama, you must be voting for him because he is black and not because of his platform, ideology, etc. I realize that politicians make plain stupid and controversial statements (that they often dont believe in themselves) just to get press coverage and throw some red meat at their base... but boy Graham sure gets the cake on this one. Then again, what do you expect from a guy that gave us Graham-Leech-Bliley act and in turn this economic resession we are in?”
“Republicans, and the Romney camp specifically, has a fundamental flaw when it comes to foreign policy. They think that diplomacy is a sign of weakness. They think that Obama is being weak for trying to find reasonable, common ground with other countries, cultures etc. There is nothing weak about trying to promote peace, understanding and mutual respect. In fact that is the only way to build lasting change. Extremists on all sides of the middle east conflict have dictated the tone of the dialog long enough. If we are going to move forward Americans and countries like Iran, Lybia, Yemen, etc. all need to repudiate and flat our reject extremist rethoric and try to find a common ground. It's time we stop hiding behind free speech. I am proud that our president is a composed, reasonable human being that is not beholden to the extreme right war hawks and pseudo Christians. Bush showed us very clearly what gun-slinging-cowboy attitude and knee jerk reactions can do. We dont need another Bush running our country. Say NO to Romney and his flawed policies in November!”
“If you are having problems with auto-correct just get a different keyboard. There are dozens of them out on Google Play. That is the beauty of Android... you are never stuck with your phone. You can make it your own in almost anyway you can think of.”
“Thank you! Finally someone said something about their dumb connectors. What is so complicated about micro usb. Every new device is using them... cameras, phones, printers, external hard drives, you name it. But Apple had to be "unique" again. Nuts to that.”
“Oh Apple is soo good at listening to their customers. If they had listened to their customers they would have had 4G out on their phones 3 years ago. I am not going to sing Apple's praises because they are now less behind the market. And that's all it is... less behind. Apple stopped innovating a long time ago and without another Steve Jobs they will go the way of the Dodo.”
“Yes, because Obama caused all of that right? Perhaps if Rebulicans were not fighting and obstructing any and every measure the president proposed we would be in a better shape. You were expecting Obama to fix all of our problems in 4 years? Huh... I guess you must have been born yesterday because any sane person would realize that it will take more than just one term to fix 30 years worth of insane reganomics.”
Monkin on Sep 6, 2012 at 21:13:45
“Well, he said he would do it in three years. FAIL”
“See the difference is that President released his birth certificate... how about Romney does the same and finally releases his tax returns. The problem is that you can play by the rules and not pay any taxes at all. There are pleanty of loop holes available... and we already know Romney took advantage of at least some of them by moving his money off shore.
Your non sensical comments about communist state etc. have no place in this debate. The fact is that Romney is running on his record as a savy and successful business person. The tax returns simply show what kind of business man he really is.
"I'm such a great business man! Vote for me! I'll fix the economy. What? You want me to prove my business track record by showing you my tax returns?? No, no, no... you cant ask me for that! That's not fair! The liberal media is picking on me!"
“Do you think, we "lefty's" are dumb enough to believe that Romney paid his fair share of taxes? Romney is a tax evader. I will never, ever vote for a president that hides his money in off shore accounts and bets against our country. Perhaps you "righties" should stop following your party like blind sheep.”
rampingrighty on Aug 17, 2012 at 10:38:38
“let me ask what a fair share is?”
jark4 on Aug 17, 2012 at 10:14:40
“What exactly should his FAIR SHARE be, I hear Obama say this all the time but never says what the "fair share" amount is.”
“I thought Olympics were about inclusion and not exclusion. The Olympic games are suppose to reignite the human spirit and remind us what we are all capable of and the difficulties that we all have to overcome in our lives. Let this man run, if other runners have to run faster to keep up with him... fine, they'll adjust. Athletes are becoming better and better from year to year because of advanced and specialized training, better shoes, better techonology (heart rate monitors, oxygen training etc.). If you want to have a discussion about an unfair advantages then what about the countries that spend hundreds of millions on their olympians versus poor nations where the athletes are largely left to their own devices? What about countries that "incent" athletes from other parts of the world to change their citizenship and run under their flag?”
Tony Dakota on Aug 4, 2012 at 13:15:58
“That is true as well. I study human movement, and I was very interested in the women's hundred meter sprint. It was clear to me that the more advanced nations had very different training than less advanced countries. They may have achieved this by using very sophisticated equipment and training methods. But the difference in running style was like night and day.
I felt sorry for those runners who had talent, but no opportunity to be great.”

“Really, I say let get him fitted out for some 20" prosthetic swim fins and rewrite the record books. Maybe even sew some webbing between his fingers. lol
No one can doubt his courage and determination, but this opens doors best left closed.”
“Just give them all of your information and dont worry about what they'll do with it. Because no goverment ever used information to persecute its citizens, right? Oh and if you dont agree will call you a criminal or deviant. Sounds familiar? It should because not to long ago uncle Bush and Darth Channey were calling people who opposed the PATRIOT act terrorists and unpatriotic not real americans etc.”
“Of course Comcast is the fastest internet provider around. That's because in majority of their markets they are the ONLY internet provider around. I had Comcast cable, phone and internet for years. I got so fed up with the crappy service and sky high prices that I recently dropped everything except the internet. I live in a large metropolitan area and I am amazed that Comcast in the only option in my neighborhood... there's no FIOS, no uVerse... you can't even get dsl.”
