“Why the GOP thinks this is a good person is beyond me. Why they think she's made the right leadership decisions is baffling. Bad things happen to bad people, period.
Nothing but bad decisions or bad luck have followed this woman around. She has been nationally ridiculed, brought on by her own lack of intellect.
She even tried to hold her family up as an example of how yours should be.
Nothing about her spells success. This demonstrates how lost the GOP is. I just feel sorry for them now. All they have are has beens like Bush and Cheney, trying desperately to stay relevant. And wannabes like Palin and a blast from the past, Gingrich. Truly , if a group deserves pity, tis them”

“Sarah Palin is neither a good, nor bad person. She's a person who does good or bad things.
Bad things actually happen to "good" people as well.
It is how we respond to what happens to us that results in our success or failure.
The GOP signed on Sarah Palin for three desperate reasons: her appearance, her abilities as a public speaker and her religious beliefs.
Interestingly, the GOP now understands that her performance on the campaign trail and as governor of Alaska will not bode well for them in the next election. They have already started to marginalize her.
Unfortunately, it refuses to face that it is religious dogma that brought them down. It is like the current crop of newspaper executives: too afraid to deal with the shakeout of a new paradigm.”

For First Time, Palin Takes Questions
Commented Oct 08, 2008 at 10:26:30 in Politics
“In the first place Palin knows absolutley nothing about that period of time and what our environment was like during Vietnam
College students were being gunned down, convention attendees were being beaten and shot--we had national guard tanks on American streets--and we had to get rid of the second worst pres in American History--She Has no clue what was happening or what she's talking about.
Yes the weatherman were radical --but with good reason-the American people had to stand up for themselves-many ordinary citizens were considered Radical
Oh, and by the way, Ayers was never charged. However some in the goverment were.
So please if you're going to run for v.p.-- know SOMETHING.
Not to be disrespectful, but McCain spent that entire period of time in a cell--not learning about foreign policy and tactical warfare, but as a prisoner isolated from everyone and everything.
That was his first intro to an unjust war---will he ever learn?”

“Thank you JSWoody09. Ayres obviously chose an unacceptable way, in the SIXTIES to protest the U.S.'s involvement in Vietnam. BUT, since then he has gone on to be a college professor and a community activist. While that doesn't change the activities from that volitile period in the world's history, whatever he did in the '60s was done when Obama was EIGHT YEARS OLD.
McCain was a central figure in his involvement in the KEATING 5 and although he escaped being linked to Charles Keating's criminal activity, he certainly was in concert with him.
McCain assumed that he would be a shoo-in when he was made the Republicans' candidate, since he had large support in 2000.
Two things:
He's not the same John McCain, having literally embraced his tormentor, much as an abused child will curry favour with their abuser.
He is visibly OLD and his supporters are disenchanted, while he can't pry the younger voters away from Obama.”

Only in America would we consider these to be qualifications of a military expert--how much operational experience does one get setting in jail ?
Is the person who got caught trying to rob the bank --now suddenly capable of running it ?
I just don't understand...”

“JSwoody,
First of all He graduated from Annapolis, then he went to flight school and became a Aviator, he flew 23 combat missions before his being captured, then had to tolerate and withstand brutal torture as a POW for many years. Its not like he went from flight scool, to his first flight ,to being shot down. There is tons of Operational experience there. You can't understand...unless you have served....if you did serve you would know this.”
