Positive changes that lasts for centuries happen from within the nation/country, anything induced from outside using PHONIES like Karzai the so-called western educated "intellectual" WILL NEVER WORK, it has to be an homegrown solution. The right-wing in this country don't want anybody to "interfere" in their personal lives, well that right is just not for Americans but that encompases the entire world.”

“I think most people do agree with it, and the question is what is "most"? I feel the majority (that might be 55 - 45 or 51 - 49 etc) has been tilted to the right by different means. Some in this country will never agree there could be people in power/positions won't care for minute to go to war or such horrible thing in order to make a profit. “What you have mentioned is completely true. I think this is the basic point though, the majority of this country whether that is 60 - 40 or 55 - 45 are tilted to the right. These people (supposed grass roots right-wing) live in their own parallel universe, they assign these rosy pictures to the US and pretty much condemn anybody who want to point to the real world and what's going on whether that's foreign policies, domestic issues etc..
