Here's a silly argument for you: faith is a good thing (according to believers), therefore having more faith is better than not having enough. Since it takes more faith to believe in evolution it's the better choice.

I'm sure you agree that this is nonsense. The obvious problem with this is it doesn't mean that having more faith in the wrong thing is better than having equal or less faith in the right thing. So, explain to me the veracity of the argument "I agree with Kirk Cameron because I feel it takes more faith to believe in evolution." Not only is it antithetical to the inherent quality of faith, but it makes the above ridiculous argument in the negative, i.e., "because it takes more faith to believe in X, Y must be true."

Before you claim that this is a variant of Occam's Razor, keep in mind that this requires the two theories to be equal in predictive power and evidential support. This simply isn't the case with evolution vs. creationism. A good example of this is classical physics, which is much simpler than quantum physics but demonstrably wrong in certain situations.”

I hope when you find a job and leave home, as you wish you could, I PRAY that you will take that dog with you. I understand that you probably have to stop from making waves, since you are not independent yet -- But I could never stand by and watch silently in the face of animal abuse or neglect. Maybe there is some way you could manage to take care of the dog yourself, and at the same time divert your family's attention from the dog? I feel so sorry for your situation, and for the dog. What nation are you in? Are you SURE there are no animal laws there? Because I saw an Animal Cops series that took place in Africa, and even in those slum areas, and shanty towns, the animal police went and charged people with abuse/neglect, forced people to make proper dog houses, forced them to offer proper care for the horses, etc., or the abusers/neglectors got a fine and/or got arrested.”
