Why China and America are Headed Toward a Catastrophic Clash

Why China and America are Headed Toward a Catastrophic Clash

“My fear of a nuclear war catastrophe may come true within this century. Tension is building up among the major powers of the World. It won't be long before the cold war mentality comes back and pressure mounts to the extend that obliterating Earth is just a word away. This time unlike the previous cold war there is the terrorist factor where they can ignite a tense situation. I fear US will be the one that will push the button first as the future generations fed on aggression of being the most powerful nation on Earth - a country lack of compassion for others except themselves while sweeping away all the history of atrocities committed since the beginning. There won't be a future for our grand children.”

“Vertical farming is the answer where resources can be controlled and wastage minimized. Recycling maximized. In places like California, whatever water used for farming will have a large percentage lost to dehydration, due to run off and irrigation of soil where the roots have not reached is a waste of water. In vertical farming hydroponic system wastage of water is kept to the minimum.”

“I read in the news that half of those killed during the protest in Ukraine were from the police force so do you think the police were defending themselves? Looks like there were violence committed by both sides. As in all current trend in these protests in so many countries the opposition political parties seems to benefit the most from the chaos that ensue. These opposition political parties see an easier way to come into power without following the due democratic process. It is easier to topple a legitimate government this way, maybe they learned it from soccer matches that went awry and it is easy to fan fanaticism from shouting discontentment to invading the field in soccer matches. It just take a few to start an incident and it will snowball.”

“And surprise, surprise... it turns out all those killed on BOTH sides were shot by the VERY SAME PERPETRATORS.

Of course, the new government isn't overly interested in investigating who those perps actually were now they're in power.

Shades of Syria, Thailand, Libya & a dozen or so other fake US sponsored 'popular revolutions'.”

“India is one country that has the most diversity in human culture, language, and spirituality that dates back to thousands of years. There are even languages that have ceased to be in use and new ones metamorphosed. If you own a car and travel from one state to another not only you have to deal with the differences in language but also a different taxation on your car for each state. Yet despite diversity there is unity and this is Indian democracy. Democracy is not always the best system of government but for India it works as long as the balance in diversity is not tip too much to anyone side. Democracy is for the people and by the people but that di not always means good governance. You can select your screen heroes or religious head to be your leader but not necessary the right person with the qualification to do the job. Sometimes we see a person integrity as the best qualification but actors can be deceiving. Popular people can only do popular things but sometimes good governance need to do the opposite.”

“Japanese have loo to the sea for their source of protein for centuries. A hill lock country and lacking in flat cultivable land they eat almost everything caught from the sea from jellyfish, puffer fish to sea urchin eggs. But nowadays they can buy beef, mutton and chicken easily from supermarkets and most of the younger generation of Japanese do not like dolphin and whale meat. It is the older generation that try to maintain the culture of eating these sea mammals. Just like the younger generation in South Korea no longer like to eat dog meat although they have taste it before.”

“I think the main point of contention is that to Christians Jesus is God and Muslims treat Jesus as a messenger of God. I believe that in early Christianity before the Bible was compiled Jesus was accepted as a messenger of God by Jews, Muslims and Christians and at one time they lived in harmony that is why there were no qualms about using the word Allah to describe the one and only God. . All three descended from the Abraham line and even share the book on genesis. I believe if Christians accept that Christ is a messenger of God then the controversy ends. Otherwise it does not make sense if they do not pray to the same god yet use the same.”

I just replied to guthrum on a very interesting development in a street in Texas, the community there carried an experiment call the Pecan Street Project where households there uses solar power and drive electric cars all for the goodness of the environment . Also in Euro there are changes in the public transport system to run on electricity and non fossil fuel.”

“Fossil fuel has created towns and mega cities where a large density of population can be congested into a small area. Human society is such that we live and breathe fossil fuel. To change there must be ab alternative to fossil fuel otherwise it's just bringing up awareness and much dilly dally. Governments must be made to realize that there must be a concerted effort to control emission perhaps introduce the use of electric powered vehicles for a start. In India they already have made a prototype vehicle that run on compressed air. Only governments can make effective changes.”

“Given that green house gas emissions from humans is detectable from 250 years ago and that the population of the entire planet then was about 700 million (1/2 of just China today) and almost certainly the carbon footprint of a person living then is much less than folks today, we get a sobering assessment of where we really stand. It's folly to thing we can engineer and tax our way to climate stability and still cram 10 billion people onto this planet. The reality is we need to cut our world population by maybe 20 fold to start. Imagine a US population of 15 20 million- nature would be on the march, pollutions levels decreasing, air clearing up. What is now overrun by humans would be going back to natural woodland, plains, estuaries, floodplains (Sorry New Orleans, your doomed no mater what).”

“China an autocratic government has acknowledge this problem and their weaknesses of dependent on fossil fuel. They are doing something about it although much need to be done. In US politicians and supporters alike are still bickering about it. Both countries are forerunners in the use of fossil fuel and contribute much to global warming. If these two countries don't get their priorities right then we have to wait for disasters after disasters before people wake up one day and say enough is enough and come to a consensus to do something about it which by then global warming maybe irreversible if it is not already. too late now.”

A boiler can be installed on the basement of the building fired by methane gas produced by the farm waste to generate steam which can be used to power a small generator. There are also bio gas driven generators available in the market.”

Commented Nov 18, 2013 at 16:36:54 in Green

“No argument just facts. If you cannot give up driving then how about others? How can we live without fossil fuel? Consumption of fuel will only rise while resources dwindles and price of gas will increase in the future. Society is such that we are drawn to its fabric and governs us instead. How everyone wish there is an alternative fuel source that is clean and non polluting but can this happen? If we all refuse the exploration of fossil fuel then in the future the price of gas will skyrocket so will price of goods. The gap between the rich and poor will widen so will numbers. Don't be mistaken I too do not favor the use of fossil fuel and am an advocate of going green but let's be realistic if you cannot give up using that small car of yours probably because you live alone then how do you expect things to be frugal for those with a family? It is about using all those inventions already available on alternate energy to power our car and make it viable for everyone. People are economy driven so if the eco friendly vehicles are made affordable then more people will use less gas driven vehicle. We should encourage inventions like that and pressure our government to offer subsidies to these companies.”
