“The difference is that sexuality and sexual preferences are a choice. The color of one's skin is not.
It's not even discrimination, baking a cake for a gay couple would violate their personal beliefs. It'd be like asking a Jewish business owner to work on the Sabbath. It wasn't that hard for the couple to just take their business elsewhere”
“Yup. All a book of stories. Certainly not credible enough to play a major role in the world from that time to this present day. All lies. Yeah. The countless martyrs all died knowing it was a lie, certainly not because they knew it was true. yup. fiction.”

“Right, because any opinion that isn't yours is hate.”

“Tell me, how is it not hateful to think that homosexuality is wrong? After all, homosexuality isn't a choice and it can't be changed, which means that being against homosexuality is like being against a person's skin color or ethnicity, which are both also unchangeable and innate. I'm sure you think it would be hateful to be racist or xenophobic, so why do you think it's somehow not hateful to be against homosexuality?”

“Yeah, because you see Christians going on mass genocides -all- the time.
Have you never heard about the French Revolution in the late 1700s? The general idea was to abolish religion and the church, overthrow everything, and base it on technology and science.
In just about a decade, the results of that were death tolls of over 10,000, the king and his family dead, the nation thrown into extreme poverty, and civil unrest.
Atheism - Always so civilized, never barbaric by any means.
See also Roman persecutions and genocides of the church in early A.D.
See also Joseph Stalin, responsible for the death of 10+ million, also an Atheist
Heck, the list goes on, I'd probably be here all day if I listed all the genocidal Atheists. Having no God leads to godless behavior. History has shown this time and time again.
Despite all this, religions fund the most charities. That sounds dangerously violent, doesn't it? When was the last time you donated to the poor in the name of "God doesn't love you, but that's okay, because he doesn't exist."? Great way to bring the kids hopes up.”

“Have you ever heard of The Crusades? I am pretty sure that was carried out by a bunch of religious zealots (in that case, Christians)....and it was pretty much mass genocide, so your point is lost on me.”

“Actually, my contributions to the unfortunate and needy are a huge part of my everyday life. My morality is not religion based, but as compassionate as anybody's. I also never said there aren't abuses perpetrated by non-believers - wouldn't that be foolish- or that all believers are violent. Just that there is a vitriolic backlash of unacceptance directed towards people who can't believe in an unproven and unlikely god. Your post makes my point.”
“I hope you're just being sarcastic, but, if you aren't...
"Of course Jesus was married. " . Please provide a -reliable- source for that claim.
Jesus wasn't an ordinary man. He was God in the flesh. If Jesus married Mary and had a child with her, why is there absolutely no evidence for this whatsoever? People will believe in anything these days, sheesh...”
“400 years after Jesus' death, this shows up. Sounds like a legit, reliable source.
Does anybody actually believe this? Because I feel sorry for you if you do.”

“I like to think that Jesus was one of us. Anything that describes him as a made-up god is repulsive to me.
Creator of the Universe is a huge job description. And now it is coming to light that not just THIS Universe, but very likely an infinite number of Universes (Multiverses) exist and that there is no beginning or end of existence, even before the Big Bang and after the Great Darkening or Big Crunch.
And some say that Jesus was "God"? Oh ho ho.... it boggles the mind. Nope that's beyond the pale.

Oh wait, I forgot, people lived to be 900 in those days.”
