“The blood sucking insurance industry will stop at nothing to limit, or eliminate their liabilities to maintain or increase their profits. What is scary here is even if this company had issued both health insurance, and life insurance policies to a person in this condition, it would be cheaper for the insurance company to let the person die rather than continue to pay for their health care. Life insurance is a large one time pay out, but in terms of liability that would cost considerably less than paying on a continued lifetime of illness. If anyone out there thinks their health insurance company has their best interests at heart, and doesn't play God with people, they need their head examined because it is most likely as empty as an anorexics plate. We desperately need health reform, and preferably with a public option. The insurance industry is fighting hard against reform period, but any plan with a public option is even more intolerable to them because that one item in the final bill would eliminate abusive profit driven insurance practices like this.”

“I was once one of those card carrying liberals, and I couldn't agree more. Just because we stand under different belief tents doesn't mean we have a right to spit on our neighbors just because one or the other is in the majority. However, civil discourse is nearly impossible when the opposition makes ridiculous charges for no other purpose than to occur the wrath of their neighbors. What we need is honest debate with well articulated argument, not idiots on TV throwing cheap shots at each other in an attempt to rile the most partisan of each political party or philosophy. Joe you are right, but getting all the stubborn elephants and all the stubborn donkeys to the proverbial chapel of thought, sanity and reason is in itself a daunting task.”
UnitedHealth Lobbyist Announces Pelosi Fundraiser As She Begins Backing Off Pub Option
Commented Sep 13, 2009 at 19:06:51 in Politics
“You don't see democrats standing in the streets protesting against something that will do generations of average people more good than any social program ever passed in the history of this country. Only really stupid people could find reason out of total nonsense to operate against their own best interests. The only other people protesting then must be those wealthy enough to never have to worry about insurance premiums.”

“This is a good example of how these blood sucking insurance companies wind up destroying health reform when it comes up. First, they buy the Republicans because they are easier to purchase, and they have a base of retards that are easy to stir up over lies and bull----. When that isn't enough they then begin buying democrats picking off the conservatives first with their fat wallets, and then they begin wooing the weakest liberals until they begin waffle a little. The real reason health care reform never gets done in this country has nothing to do with the pawns that call themselves demonstrators, or the money whores we wind up always electing to congress thinking that just once maybe we can get one that will work for us, the people, but it never ever happens does it. The reason why for all of this is simple and as old as time itself, we all know what it is, so why don't we just call this animal by it's real name GREED!. Think about this the next time you have a sick loved one in your arms and you either have no insurance, or you have to fight your insurance company over a denied claim, or you discover your policy has topped out and you have no more insurance to cover the cancer treatments, and then thank your greedy f--king insurance company for always working hard to make certain that you will always have to worry about these things.”

“It's a good example, exactly, and which is why it was used in a way to try and sway support away from Pelosi. If they can't defend the republican senators who are bought and sold by the health insurance lobbyists, then project the same scenario onto Pelosi and try to convince people that they can't trust their own.
I'm not buying it.”

Why the Gang of Six Is Deciding Health Care for Three Hundred Million of Us

“I agree they can't get this done through bi-partisanship. The stone walling do nothing Republicans have done nothing but make people fear something that is going to help them more than any program ever passed in the history of this country. Health care reform with a strong public option would eliminate Medicaid, and that alone would help state economies tremendously.”

“It is not the criticisms, dissent, or lively debate that Liberals have a problem with. What Liberals have a problem with is the hate speak, the trickery, and rampant misinformation to the point of being out and out lies on this extremely important topic that has been deliberately spewed out by the GOP to stir up the crazy side of their base, and to get people railing against their own best interests. Irregardless of this point or that point in the health plan, the most important point to remember is almost everyone will be covered if something is passed, and even more important than that point is the fact that it will permanent insurance coverage that can't be canceled, or taken away. One would have to be completely stupid not to want something that neither themselves, or their family has never had with regard to their health care coverage and that is the peace of mind.”

Obama Continues Fox News Pushback

“Fox News, The Republican News Network, is at it again. Anybody with a brain in their head knows they have a right wing agenda right along with that crappy Drudge Report. The Republican Party owns them and they always have period end of story. Their reporters can carry on all the want and pick polls only favorable to them to justify what they are doing, but the truth is they have been on Obama's back contriving so called news stories and creating issues where there is none from the beginning and they will never stop. Their reporters are getting nasty only because things do not appear to be going well for their team, the Republican Party. Democrats on Fox News don't have interviews. They have at worst inquisitions, or at best political hit jobs on democratic spoke people like this poor guy. I give him a A plus for maintaining his cool under fire.”

All Fall Down

“The media makes way to much of these things period. These are human frailities that everyone is subject to. Some times people make the correct decision, and some times they do not, but the media circus has no right to call a persons entire integrity into question just because of one trist in thirty-years of marriage. Few people, men and women could stand up to that scrutiny these people have to endure on a daily basis. As far as the lie itself, Edwards had every reason not to tell the truth, but in the real world when it comes to these things your career is the least of your worries. The thing Edwards feared the most is what every man fears and that is how do you tell this to your wife of thirty-years, and your children. How do answer their big question. What do you say when they ask Why? There never is a good answer to this question. All you can say is I screwed up bad, and now you know I am not perfect.
In truth, no human being no matter their position is perfect, and these stupid people that like to turn these things into issues should realize this and stop feeding into utter ignorance of the masses.”
