“I agree. What I most can't stand are those Children International, HRC, Greenpeace, ACLU people who block the sidewalks in New York. They act like they're the only ones out there. I'm sure I've passed more than 1,000 of them in the last year.”

“I don't know when our juvenile justice rights became a joke, but they are now.”
jatkins1 replied on Nov 20, 2009 at 11:49:16
“It's absurd. I honestly don't understand how you can try a juvenile as an adult. I get why - for more severe charges - that's how prosecutors roll, but how? There's a difference between the juvenile and adult justice systems for a reason. When you start "trying juveniles as adults" (which is by definition an oxymoron), the system has gone off the rails. That's why the ACLU is so important.”
FAA Flight Delays: Glitch Causing Delays Fixed
Commented Nov 19, 2009 at 15:10:31 in Technology
“Once during the 1990s I was flying into Boston Logan on a business trip. It was delayed as many flights into that airport are. The pilot came on the intercom and told us that their equipment still used vacuum tubes. He talked about that tariff and told us we were paying handsomely for such lousy service. It was very instructive.”
cavegal replied on Nov 19, 2009 at 15:14:05

Bill Thompson Loses To Michael Bloomberg In Tight Mayoral Race

bluevase replied on Nov 04, 2009 at 15:37:43

felixthecat replied on Nov 04, 2009 at 09:32:30
“NO thompson was not an awful choice. Thompson ran his office without any scandals and ran it smooth. He did a good job. Bloomberg had 100 millions on his side and he bought the media. Bloomberg refuse to debate beyond the required 2 one hour debates. the debates were lame. None of the moderators asked Bloomberg the tough questions. Bloomberg has slush funds, mobs in his depts, failing projects and even faces a sexual harassment suit yet the PRESS gave Him free pass. NYC voters are uninformed and unconcerned. We get the govt that we deserve.”

Fight Off Back Aches, Pain With Extra Vitamin D

“Rubbish. The only way to get rid of lower back pain is to get off your behind and get some exercise. I expect that people get less exercise during the winter.”
FemiMommy replied on Oct 27, 2009 at 17:33:12
“I bike commute 11 miles per day in hilly Seattle, the first 3 of those miles are pulling my 6-year-old on a trailing bike. As I type this, I am on the floor on a heating pad dealing with week 2 of terrible back pain which is not the result of any injury, just (probably) an accumulation of sitting at a computer.”
