“I identify with the believer, although I'm an aithiest. Faith can be had in many things, not just religious beliefs. Faith in humans, faith that if I stay on top of things that I can keep my family out of trouble or simply faith that we will come out on top, no matter what life throws at you. How about faith in some sort of karma or good/bad homeostatus?
My point is this, one does not need to go to church or pay tithes in order to fit nicely into this category.”

“koshokid - Thank you!! Although I am a believer and you are an aithist (which I rarely spell right), you get the point I have tried to make clear - you GET it! Also proving that athiests don't have to be disrespectful to believers. Glad to be your first fan.”
“I understand that what Sally Kern said was deplorable, but I cannot disagree with the legislation.
I work for a small family owned business in the Chicago area and we have been locked out of municipal bids simply because our owner is a white man. Had my father registered the company in his wife's name (like the guys who get these contracts do), we wouldn't have that problem. Affirmative Action sounded great to me until I realized that the best people for the job were being kept out of jobs simply because of their race. We are struggling just to get by too, you know. There's no two ways around it, Affirmative Action is legalized racism and is completely unconstitutional.”

“Did you read the part about it being a nonexistant problem in Oklahoma? Oklahoma passed the first law in the country to ban Sharia law. Think that there are that many Muslims in Oklahoma? It was to appease fearful and ignorant people in the state and garner votes for its author. Same thing here. Oklahoma has serious problems that are being ignored while this nonsense goes on (like a deficit and some of the most unhealthy people in the country).”
A lot of the kind of people that care about such status symbols are also very interested in others noticing them. That was a very nice way to call some of the iPhone types narcasistic. Narcasistic people don't care about others as much as they do for themselves and are single more often as a result. People who are single natually have sex with more people than others who are in commited relationships.”
