“This is like having auto insurance and you've been paying premiums as promised; once you are involved in an accident, they don't want to pay as contractually had been promised. Then they try to cancel your policy and in this case, even the whole class of policies within an entire state, as to hold on to more of their ill gotten profits. This is in effect not really insurance policy, if it were they would have paid up as promised, as contratually agreed to. They are just selling fake insurance policies.”

And Obama is acting like a girl-man and can not push thru his health care reform with public option which more than 70 percent of the people obviously want that' which is the moral and the right thing to do and an act of humanity.
May be this congress and this country is only capable of doing egregiously evil things against humanity that which is scorned globally.”

You know wrap it up in the flag, say god wills it, we gotta get healthy over here before they make us unhealthy over there nonsense.. . Actually if he would say more about the outrages the medical/in surance/dr ug industry inflicts on Americans daily he would be getting more traction but as with the repugs he is trying to get them on board. These are what I call feral humans.”

AnnfromCA replied on Aug 03, 2009 at 17:25:00
“I pointed this out earlier. Just because someone strongly disagrees with you isn't necessarily a sign that they are ignorant or uneducated. What's particularly silly is that we all pretty much went through the same school system. Even if you went through private schools, I hate to tell you...but that doesn't make you brighter. Everyone reads Julius Caesar in the 10th grade, regardless of where you were educated.
Having said that, learn to actually figure out what is bothering people. That's effective listening.
The issue is clear. The Dems have scared people with clauses in the house version that do, in fact, take away private insurance. Why? Why do something so stupid that will scare people?
The lobbyists, that's why. The Dems now have a bad bill that everyone, even moderates, no longer support. That's why the polls are dropping. That's why the Blue Dogs are balking.
Obama didn't put forth his plan. He talked big talk, threw it to Congress (who is eaten alive by lobbyist money).
And you think that's a great sale job for conservatives?
*coughing violently*
Dems plopped right into the loser corner on this one. Now, the question is....how do they get out of this.”

I'm not a Democrat, but neither am I a Sarah Palin supporter. I'm glad to see the potential Republican nominees melting down all at one time and early on in the process. Now we have a cleaner slate of potential candidates to consider and the door is open for someone new to appear on the stage. I think this is good news for the Republicans in the end. Plus Sarah Palin never had even the slimmest chance of winding up as the Republic nominee for President in 2012.”
