“Speaking as someone with severe endometriosis who tried and tried to get pregnant and failed miserably, I understand that she might not want to dwell on those failures. When you can't do something that is supposed to be natural and it seems like every other woman in the world makes procreating look easy, you do try to find other reasons why it might not be the choice for you. It's a coping mechanism.”
“Activism can take many forms, and I applaud anyone that discusses and tries to divine the objectives and motives - ulterior or otherwise - behind large retail chains.
I wholeheartedly believe in "vote with your pocketbook" activism and wish more people understood that it takes just a small step and a willingness to express your misgivings to start a real revolution.”

“My husband just got a call from the dispatch manager for 1-800-flowers. She told him that her driver TRIED to deliver the flowers to his building yesterday but wasn't allowed in the building. My husband told her she was LYING to him, that flower companies were all over the building yesterday and that anyone with internet access now knows what a total disaster her company is. She apparently came clean and admitted that she was told by corporate to call as many customers as possible and try to convince them to take delayed delivery so they don't have to refund the senders.
I've been on hold with customer service for 24 minutes with no end in sight.”
