“A year or so ago when this Pope said that accumulation of great wealth was against the teachings of the church I almost fainted. I was also raised as Roman Catholic (and my parents sent me through 8 years of school taught by Irish nuns!!), and I could not understand how the Pope could make such a statement. Oh the hyprocrisy!”

Bring Back the Stocks

“Can't think of a single person in Bush's immediate circle who would't be eligible for this stock treatment. In fact, I would make it a "stockable" offense for anyone caught trying to give comfort to said circle. Also, I would give my eye teeth to see a certain corpulent, loud mouthed oaf who avoided any military service because of a cyst on his megacorpulent @ss thrown in the stocks for every innaccuracy (OK...LIE) that he spins out on his radio show. In fact, I would love to see him joined by any number of Fox employees thrown in stocks for reporting slime.
Methinks we would very busy stocks indeed! (although the stench would be unbearable...)”

“Amen to your words. I think when the Democrats decided not to go after Bush was when I began to truly loose trust in our way of life. Sort of like they were making sure that when their own transgressions come to light they will be given the same free pass. What makes us any different from the Saddam's of this world without transparent government and our constitution - both of which were ignored and stomped on during the past 8 years?
If we don't have the stomach to investigate the autrocities of the Bush administration - I pray that the Hague will!”

“Oh yeah one other thing: What are mothers supposed to do when they find themselves abandonned by society (not to mention the person who made them pregnant)? Abortion?”

PinkMoore replied on Jan 13, 2009 at 08:50:06

“Of course not! They don't want anyone to have an abortion, but they sure don't give a damn about helping our children who are born into these circumstances and their mothers. I do believe that women and men should take more responsibility for their reproduction but sometimes things happen whether it be accidentally, divorce, loss of a parent, etc. They don't give a damn.”

“My favorite comment was you can dish it out but you can't take it. That goes for Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Palin, Bush, Cheney - all of those of that ilk. They are all incredibly thin skinned (especially Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Palin, Bush, Cheney and others of that ilk). Did anyone watch Bush's (so called) press conference yesterday? He looked at everyone in that room with so much contempt, I thought he was about to explode.

They all can dish, they none can take it.”

“Texas4Obama and sharonmacc I couldn't agree with you more.

I'll take it one step further and say that I truly hope Bish, Cheney, Rove, Wolfowitz, et al., get their comeuppance (I know that word looks weird, but I spell checked it). They should at the very least be charged with war crimes and if we don't have the stomach for it - the Hague should feel free to step in (or however they become involved).

I haven't had a family member in Iraq or Afgahnistan, but when my husband retired AF we ended up in San Antonio, and I work in a military hospital here. I can't tell you the pain that I have seen on the faces of not only the troops themselves but their families. I don't think any of those listed above have a clue what they've done to these families across the nation - or care. I can't wait to see Michelle Obama as first lady - Laura Bush and Lynn Cheney have been beyond worthless. During their time neither one of them have reached outside of themselves to do anything - like meeting/organizing/helping with support groups for the spouses and family members of these military men and women, for instance. There have been so many opportunities for them to be an example to this country and they sat on their @sses”
