“I grew up and lived in Philly until 12 years ago. When my oldest son was that age, going out while potty training and even after was difficult. There is no bathrooms anywhere within the city unless you are in a restaurant which includes most fast food. There are signs posted everywhere that unless you are a patron and/or make a minimum purchase you cannot use the restroom. To ensure no one used the bathrooms they were locked and had to obtain the door sized key after you made a purchase. Needless to say my son who has a medical condition and sometimes has to use the bathroom more than most had to wear diapers when we went out or when he was older we had to make sure we were in the vicinity of a bathroom. Honestly, at least 3 times I had him pee in an alley because we were desparate and couldn't find a bathroom. When you gotta go you gotta go.”

“After moving to Delaware and working a few temp jobs I was hired at First USA Bank (now Chase Bank) I was offered a very nice position with a very nice salary. I picked up my welcome packet. HR was to call me within 2 days to let me know when orientation began. I didn't hear anything, so I called and called and called. For almost 2 weeks I called.
No one ever called me back. Not 3 weeks after it was announced in the newspaper and they were laying off over 600 employees between their two sites in Delaware and was being bought out by Bank One who was eventually bought out by Chase.
DON'T BLAME THE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO WORK. BLAME BIG BUSINESS FOR SCREWING THEM OVER.”

“lilbit is correct. companies do what is right for the shareholders not the employees. if we americans were brave we would be fighting to save the unions and raise the minimum wage and make sure every worker gets as much health care as welfare recipients.”

“Don't blame big business. Blame your government regulators and mostly Democrat policy wonks who fail to make the playing field a level and fair one. And who fail to reign in fraud.”
“Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. I wasn't there so I really can't say. From what I've learned about black bears, females only reproduce every second year (or more). Should the young die for some reason, the female may reproduce again after only one year. It's odd that the bear had a newborn cub which are usually born in January/February and a cub he calls a "yearling" But anything is possible.”

“So is wearing green an anti Protestant statement? I'm neither but no where does any of the articles state what they were supposedly protesting”

“LOL ~ In Ireland they're always fighting, the Protestants against the Catholic, and visa versa. That is what the colors of orange and green are all about... Here in America, I think most simply signify the color 'green' with the Irish, and let it go at that... And as I've said before, a fun saying is, "There's a wee bit O'Irish in just about everyone on St. Patty's Day." LOL, That is unless you're a hard nose Protestant... ;o)”
