“Tell me Cruz what are you suggestions for stopping gun violence? What are your suggestions for preventing tragedies like Sandy Hook? What are you doing to not take advantage of this tragic murder to promote an agenda that will do nothing to stop violent crime but will perpetuate it because you refuse to try and find solutions? Thats right, absolutely, positively NOTHING!”
“Good point about King's own breaks and vacations that the tax payer pays for. Just like we pay for his dental his healthcare his travel expenses his food expenses and his waste of time expenses. The waste of time expenses is when he goes on the tv or radio to scream about President Obama and his family doing something that he had absolutely no problem with any former president doing.”
“Good point. Also, think of the Dems that are still "evolving" on same sex marriage. We liberals cant bash Murkowski for this and let Dem politicians slide. HuffPo did an article yesterday about the 10 Dems still against same sex marriage. And it wasnt too long ago that the president started changing his tune as well. I give Murkowski a bit of credit for at least not saying a flat out no.”

“Although I am truly an Independent, but for sure a redneck liberal one, you bring up a very valid point there Lillanya...”
“"Our movement is a welcoming one and we are the movement that is offering common-sense solutions that will improve the lives of all Americans -- including gays and lesbians," LaSalvia added.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Welcoming, including, offering HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!! So here are the few people denoucning Dave Agema, how long until his supporters come out saying look how mean people are being to Dave for speaking out, send him money to combat the horrible, lame stream media and liberals of the country who are trying to destroy good honest Christians like Dave Agema? Countdown in 5 . . .4 . . .3 . . .2 . . .”
“From The Roll Call Story - The District’s database showed Weiner received nearly $2,180 in tickets from 2007 to early March, including some instances in which he appears to have incurred multiple violations at the same time, such as failing to display current tags while parked in a taxi stand zone.
Seriously, this is ridiculous! If I tried this my car would have been towed away!”
“Thank you! That was my thought too. If you are a normal American and you run up sy $500 in unpaid parking tickets, you go to jail. If you are a politician you apparently think rules dont apply to you.”
““These are the days when a person is vilified when they state that they believe fundamentally that marriage is between one man and one woman.”
Hmmm, lets see if I understand what Perry really means.
I know right. What happened to the good old days when we straight people could vilify gay people without anyone else speaking out? I mean now when we gay bash, people actually stand up and protest. We get called names! What nerve! Dont these people understand that only we straight people get to call people names? And now that I think about it, what happened to the good old days when we white people could vilify people of color without anyone speaking out? Now we get called a racist? I mean we had a CPAC event about what to do when you are called a racist when you really arent and we actually had a black speaker! See, we arent racists at all.”
“1. I didnt say so what. I said there are people who inheirited their wealth rather than earn it.
2. We spend about $200 billion a year in tax breaks and tax exemptions for big banks and big oil and churches better known as corporate welfare. There is a nice chunk of change to pay down our debt.
3. The money that is wasted on our politicians isnt a lot each year but when many of those politicians talk about how even small cuts add up and help but freak out on any cuts to their benefits, that is a problem. If little cuts that equal what is spent in 15 seconds is pointless then why are politicians so headstrong on program cuts that assist the middle and lower class?
4. I would rather see responsible cuts made to close our deficit. Do we really need 10 military bases in Japan? Do we need to build planes and ships that the Defense Secretary says we will not use? Do we need to send billions and billions of dollars to countries that hate us? Do we need to hire military contractors for 10x what we pay our military servicemembers for doing the exact same thing? Do we need to give tax breaks and tax exemptions to huge corporations that make billions and billions of dollars in a quarter nevermind what they make in a year? You want to close our deficit, there are some options for you.”

“1. You must really hate those that inherit money.2. Tax breaks are not an expenditure. Allowing an entity to keep the money they earn is not "spending".3. There are no "cuts". reducing growth to 3% is not a cut, but growth.4. So far you "cut" 1/5 of the deficit. How do you save the other $800B?I think cliches will not answer my points”
“I disagree that guns have been used more for good than evil because to me once guns were invented, the death that followed was immense. However, I dont think all guns should be banned. I do think there needs to be limits on what kinds of guns people can have and I think there should be limits on how many guns people can have. But my thought isnt the only one on this so there needs to be discussion about this.”
“Republicans dont care about the Constitution, especially the ones who claim they do, the ones who walk around with a copy of it in their pocket to show how deep and sincerely they care about the Constituion. And they care even less about the people. Why let the people vote, its not like the decisions made by the hand picked senators would have any impact on their lives. Oh wait, yes they would. Meh, whatever. Think of all the insane bribery they will get from potential picks. Who honestly believes that the will of the people is going to trump the fattening of the wallets?”
“Well said and very true. I know a lot of people who have no idea who their representative is or who their senators are. They dont have any idea of the issues and who stands where on the issues. But they can tell you what happened on every Real Housewives show for the past 3 years and who won every American Idol since it started.”

“Remember ancient Roman History? This is the bread and games for the masses. Cheap fast food and reality TV. Weapons of mass distraction.”
“We can take your arguement and flip it around. Conservatives are so anti-abortion, every life before it starts is important so banning abortion is pro-life so lets take away the choice.
People who are killed by guns dont really matter so dont you dare take away my choice to own any kind of gun I want.
I dont belive that all abortion restrictions are evil and I am a liberal. Are you a conservative who believes that people should be able to own an arsenal of weapons and any kind of gun control is evil?”
GeniusInTheory on Mar 27, 2013 at 09:26:01
“Very fair question, deserving of an answer. No, not all gun control is evil. Most convicted felons should not be allowed to own a gun, for instance. Fully automatic weapons are and should be banned for most Americans. But guns are a part of our heritage, and our history. They've been used for more good than evil. Most guns and owners aren't using them for evil, nor for self-defense. Most have them as a hobby, whether it be hunting or target shooting or just collecting. So, if you want to pass laws to "control" weapons we first must determine what it is we want to accomplish.”
“There are some things that need to be decided at the federal level. Like interracial marriage or women in the military or blacks in the military or desegregated schools. If I live in a state where same sex marriage is allowed and then I and my partner move to a state where it isnt allowed, what happens if my spouse goes into a coma? Or what if the spouse dies? Would I lose my next of kin status because this state doesnt recognize same sex marriage? We arent deciding on the speed limit for a state or the official state color or state bird.”
“Everything is a war on religion for Perry. Abortion? War on religion. Gay marriage? War on religion. Gays in the military? War on religion. Women voting? War on religion. Interracial marriage? War on religion. Not saying the Lord's Prayer every hour of every day? War on religion. Liking rainbows and kittens and puppies? War on religion.”
