We do need Eliot Spitzer ............ a man who is very familiar with the culture on Wall Street and wants to change it so that the emphasis is on integrity and making sure regulations that would reign in the last 10 years of "me first" philosophy are recommended to Congress and endorsed by the Department.
We need a man who cares about the country and its long term health and also Main Street and the American people
Spitzer would be a breath of fresh air!!”

“I don't see how this Bishop reconciles his strong position on Kennedy's vote on a Church endorsed issue and thus tells Kennedy he is not a good practicing catholic with all the teachings of Christ. In this manner he is putting obedience to the church above Kennedy's obligations as a Congressman!
But what really is incomprehensible is that the Bishop would see fit to do this to a young man who has just lost his beloved father and has been struggling with addiction problems. Is there no requirement that the church exercise compassion or is it just a matter of what points this Bishop wants to make with his "overlords"?

Every president has groups that disagree with policy and we live in a country that respects that right. However it is not a license to stir up hatred and incite people to violence. We saw how that works when MLK and RFK were killed..... that both men who pulled the triggers were acting on different motives, the end result made a lot of people happy..... people who hated what these two courageous men stood for.
Before I believe you on the polls, I'd like to know which ones, asking what questions and by whom.”

Let's not forget there are very strong suspicions that the Republicans "outed" Spitzer ...... he was getting to close to interfering with their view of the perfect Wall Street.
What Spitzer did was morally and ethically wrong and he has admitted that and paid a price for his actions related to his personal life. If we held every politician to the standard to which some hold Sptizer to, we'd have a pretty lonely bunch of people in the house and senate!!”
