“I don't see how this Bishop reconciles his strong position on Kennedy's vote on a Church endorsed issue and thus tells Kennedy he is not a good practicing catholic with all the teachings of Christ. In this manner he is putting obedience to the church above Kennedy's obligations as a Congressman!

But what really is incomprehensible is that the Bishop would see fit to do this to a young man who has just lost his beloved father and has been struggling with addiction problems. Is there no requirement that the church exercise compassion or is it just a matter of what points this Bishop wants to make with his "overlords"?

Please, please spare me from Christians who act so contrary to Christ's teaching. Give me the D Lama, a man who has spiritual integrity in his every utterance and action; a man who so consistently demonstrates kindness and love.”

As to those who complain about his making her experience public, may we should not assume he did it without her knowledge; nor should we assume that she isn't proud to have people learn from her example. I'd venture a guess she got that attitude from both parents.

“The democrats didn't try to promote this issue. The referendum was what brought it up and that was to repeal what the legislature had written, voted on and the Governor signed.

The final paragraph is unbelievable ~ when speaking of the two republicans from Illinois and Indiana, the club master says something like "we'll be watching them ~ the best they can hope for is we leave them alone." That sounds like a Mafia or Gestapo like comment!

The Club for Growth should not be allowed to spend money so freely and not be accountable for following the rules of campaign financing reform.... weak though they are.

There is no quicker way to destabilize our democracy than to have groups with money and power deciding our elections.”

“The NY Times doesn't get it ~ Grayson is not a wingnutt! To lump him in with the the certifiably real wing-nuts demonstrates how warped is their discernment or how political they choose to be.

When Grayson stood on the house floor and fleshed out his "die sooner" comment he did a great service to the debate on health care reform. The chilling 40,000 plus deaths per year attributed to lack of health care insurance brought the spotlight to the irrefutable heart of the matter. He did it crisply! He said what others were not saying. He called this debate by it rightful name: a question of morality. He spoke the truth.

Our nation needs more elected officials with Grayson's moral compass and courage ~ not fewer!”

“First, please read the medical journal article that Grayson and many others reference in terms of the number of people who die every year because the have no medical insurance. It is a well documented and respected article,

2nd, then in the future, when you say people don't die because of their inability to have adequate insurance, please refer to the part of the report you believe to be inaccurate. Just giving your opinion, without providing us with the basis, is not helpful or enlightening. Until you do so, we will happily ignore any further protestations on your part.”
