“Hmmm. reminds me of Bush calling the NYT reporter an arsehole on a live mic and never giving the Times an interview in 8 years. Hmmm, juniors in the Administration? Lets's see. How about putting all reporters critical of the Admin in one section of the Press room, calling it Siberia and never calling on them. How about allowing a male ho oker in as a reporter and keeping him overnight. Would those be considered junior examples.”
The Professor replied on Dec 01, 2009 at 10:27:10
“Calling Adam Clymer an "ahole" was not smart but pales in comparison.
Bush did give the NYT interviews, June 5, 2001,Aug 26, 2004 and on Jan. 27, 2005. Stop watching MSNBC. And besides, who said the President had to give an interview to any specif media outlet, let alone talk show hosts and columnists. Do Presidents play favorites, you bet, but we have not seen this level of attacking a media since the Nixon Admin.”

Rep. Hinchey: Bush Administration 'Intentionally Let bin Laden Get Away' In Order To Justify Iraq War

“President Bush recently signed an executive order to freeze the US financial assets of corporations doing business with Os ama bin Laden. He described the order as a "strike on the financial foundation of the global te rror network."
"If you do business with terr orists, if you support or succor them, you will not do business with the United States," said President Bush.
He didn't say anything about doing business with a terr orist's brother - or his wealthy financier.
When President George W. Bush froze assets connected to Os ama bin Laden, he didn't tell the American people that the terr orist mastermind's late brother was an investor in the president's former oil business in Texas. He also hasn't leveled with the American public about his financial connections to a host of shady Saudi characters involved in d rug cartels, gu n smuggling, and terr orist networks.
Doing business with the enemy is nothing new to the Bush family. Much of the Bush family wealth came from supplying needed raw materials and credit to A dol f Hitl er's Third Re ich. Several business operations managed by Pre/scott Bush - the president's grandfather - were seized by the US government during World War II under the Trading with the Ene my Act

“– The Blair government had decided to support the US-led war up to a year before the invasion. Sir Christopher Meyer, the ambassador to Washington at the time, told the inquiry that the Blair government had decided that it was “a complete waste of time” to resist Bush’s efforts to go to war and had instead opted to offer advice about how to invade. Meyer also told the inquiry that former US national security adviser Condoleeza Rice had called the Meyer on the day of the 9/11 attacks and told him, “We are just looking to see whether there could possibly be a connection with Saddam Hussein.” Meyer also reiterated that both the American and British government were constantly looking for a “smoking gun” to justify the upcoming war. [11/26/09, 11/26/09]
– Blair was told the Iraq War would be illegal under international law by his attorney general. In a July 2002 letter, former British attorney general Lord Goldsmith warned Blair that the UN charter only permits military intervention “on the basis of self-defence” or for “humanitarian intervention” and that neither case applied to Iraq. Blair responded by banning Goldsmith from future cabinet meetings and ignoring his verdict on the legality of the war. [11/29/09]

“You nailed it. The Advantage program costs 19% more than Traditional Medicare. It is in the red. Traditional recipients pay extra (about $90.00) a year to help with the cost and receive none of the benefits. Do Seniors really need Gym Memberships paid for by taxpayers. Not as far as I am concerned. There was a huge fight about this in the House Markup Committee. They want it reduced to 4%. Others, like Wyden want it phased out entirely, so does President Obama.”

“The Family, aka C Street, is exporting its agenda to witch doctors in Uganda:
http://www.truthwinsout.org/pressreleases/2009/10/4397/
And why do witch doctors in Africa keep popping up in GOP circles?
The whitewing religiCons hopped on the HIV/AIDS relief wagon in Africa as soon as George Bush's faith-based Public Option collection plate started handing out money to churches.
Suddenly, it was ALL about taking care of those who became infected the way God intended it... through IV drugs and heterosexual hooker sex.
What they've done with the money, though, is promote their religious agenda, spending money for condoms on abstinence only pamphlets and preaching family values that, as usual, actively exclude LGBTLMNOP.
No one, though, has remarked on the sudden culture war turnaround that occurred as SOON as public money was waved under these congregation's noses.
While in Africa, they have met and had to assuage the suspicions of witch doctors and have learned how to manipulate them for their C Street uses.”
