“Schools don't allow cell phones because of the disruption, but guns are okay. Based on whose twisted version of reality?”

“Well it is based on common sense. I don't think you were blessed with it at all so I don't blame you because it isn't your fault. However, the rest of us who do have it can't be misled by those who don't. It is in the best interest of our children. After all we must keep them alive.”
“These are the stories we all need to hear about the victims and those who ran to help that day. Thank you for printing the positive, life affirming stories. The stories about the criminals who created the Monday madness should be background noise, not center stage. Thank you again.”
“"He's Awake!" While others are dead and permanently maimed. Would like to see HuffPost permanently remove photos of the brothers and just report the progress that brings him closer to prosecution. Would like to see HuffPost prominently display photos of the victims and their medical progress along with stories of how they and their families are coping. Show photos of all those who came to their aid and how they are coping. Show photos and stories of all the good and positive things people are doing in response to these horrendous events.
Show anything BUT the faces of evil that could casually walk through a crowd of joyous innocent people and blow them to smithereens.”
“Whoever targeted the Boston Marathon wanted the power to change everyone's plans permanently. While they've painfully done so in ways that can't ever be undone, retaining some semblance of normalcy in the aftermath of such a horrific tragedy is not a bad thing. To the now married couple I say "to LIFE, and all it brings with it."”
“Romney not only lost the election and any shred of integrity he still had, but now he's lost his mind.”

“Hon, he had to have one first. He had no integrity - he sent that overseas when he started outsourcing American jobs to other countries at Bain (during the disputed years when he SAYS he wasn't there but the SEC says he was). He still won't admit that HE lost the election because of HIS philosophy. It was taken from him because someone else offered "gifts". Talk about a racist message. The black man can't win unless he's giving something away. What about the black man won because more people believed he could help our country than Romney could?”
“This was never a battle between the runners and NYC, so take your "shame" and stuff it. Then get out there and volunteer. The race was already bringing in money for charities as it does every year, plus additional donations for the recovery and volunteers. Glad the decision was finally made to cancel it.”
“Running and volunteering are not mutually exclusive. DO THEM BOTH to give testament to the strength & resiliency of the human spirit, to keep in NYC the money the race and its runners bring to the city and its businesses every year since 1970, and to collect additional money, get more volunteers & even more PR for the emergency relief efforts.
Millions of people worldwide watch this race! See the NYC Marathon as the positive tradition & opportunity it is to do even more good in this difficult time.”

“They pulled a dead 2 year old boy and his dead 4 year old brother who were missing since Monday out of the water in Staten Island YESTERDAY!!
Not to mention millions of folks who continue to be without heat, power, gasoline, or water in the direct area!
So, NO, there's NOTHING positive about this freakin' marathon!”

“You wouldn't say that if you we're here
The generators that they are using should be given to the gas stations or anything else
I waited 3 1/2 hours for gas today this is a disaster that needs all the police helping not moderating some race”
“The guy has no shame. His complete and utter failure to do his job as head of FEMA during Hurricane Katrina directly led to the deaths of 2,000 people. The world will never forget the images of people struggling to stay alive on their roofs and the flooded streets and the horror stories that resulted from his incompetence.
What nerve it takes to show his face in public and question this President's proactive handling of Hurricane Sandy.”
“Right, because President Obama's unwavering leadership in making certain Governors of states in the path of Hurricane Sandy/Nor'easter had everything they needed ASAP to help with the immediate need of saving lives doesn't warrant your thanks. Nor apparently does the President's continuing public requests to donate to the American Red Cross to help those adversely impacted. The only photo op was Romney's.”

“That would be Bush's lies got us into Iraq. General Powell was lied to as well.”

“Always trying to throw anyone under the bus.. except for Dubya, Cheney etc... Powell was misled...And he confessed up to it.. These older than dirt career politicians need to be put out to pasture .......”

“I agree. I knew it was true by his leaving his position as SOS and also reading how he banged heads with Cheney and Rumsfeld who were really just e*v*i*l while Bush was worse in that, he really believed his hype.”
“How is that an "uncomfortable question?" It's a legitimate question and citizens have the right to know what shapes the thought process of the men and women sending them, their spouses and children off to fight wars. The question would have been asked of Romney if he had shown up. Ann is acting as his surrogate on the campaign trail and network shows, so the question was posed to her.”
