“It would be nice, if just once we could enjoy these paintings without some arrogant, insufferably annoying athiest making snide comment about Christians or the Ark or Barney and Fred. We have heard it all! We know what the evangelists say or what you think they say. Good grief can we just enjoy the paintings? Let it go. You have the right to beleive in what you like.”

“If your don't read the comments section, you'd better achieve your desire to "just enjoy the paintings". Just saying.”
“The logistics of it are mind boggling. How do we find them? Half of the countries population is muslim..they will protect each other.”

“The important question is why are we just now worried about the trade and slave market in Africa? It has been there but we, as a country, have failed to address the real slave issue but rather focused on how African American have been held back because of slavery. Hell, it's going on now and has been going on but we have kept a blind eye to slavery. Sad, just so sad!”
“No it is not YOu can go to the library and get free internet. Yu can get Chret internet and BASIC TV for 69.00 a month 1200 for an apartment seems very high to me. Move somplace cheaper. Get a job working from home. Stop whining and find ways to save money. What did the former generation do without food stamps, with out public assistance. They worked harder. they stopped complaining and did what they had to do. 1300.00 a month that's over 300.00 a week. Most pople would love to be making that kind of money. We have become a country of victims.”
“I d the same. I hate carrying a pruse so it's minimul. These women who carry suitcases are going to lose everything. Befrreyou leave the store your keys hsould be in your han. If you fumble around looking for your keys you are a target.”
“I think there is aplace for both creationism and evolution. I am Christian but I find evolution to be logical and completely fascinating. There is a place for both in my house.

“So you beleive in hurting someone deeply and ruining their lives because people cant keep it in their pants. Infidelity destroys families and has a profoundly long lasting affect on children. Yes I speak from experience. I watched my 16 year old daughter fall apart the day she found out her father had a long term affair wth a "friend". Infidelity is about being selfish and self serving. MY best friends have been married for 35 years and neither have cheated. Becasue they care about how the other person feels.”

“Sorry for your personal experience but no, of course I don't "believe in hurting someone." I do believe lots of people cheat and many more would if given the chance. That's worth understanding better. We're talking about an institution with a 50% failure rate and among the "successes" we know a lot of cheating occurs.
Sure, you can condemn it, but that does nothing to help make things better except for whatever self-satisfaction one gets from believing he/she is morally superior.”
“There is a 4th option. It's called COMMUNICATION! Telling your spouse that you are unhapy is alot eaier to handle than the horrible emotional fallout of infidldelity. Wha tif you hae children? Indidelity pofoundly affects children Cheating is the sefish easy way out.”
cosmicrat on Apr 27, 2014 at 19:25:41
“It's great if that works for you, but some people have irreconcilable differences. Communication is the first step and a cornerstone of every good relationship, but it is all too often not enough. Our point is basically that the "horrible emotional fallout" of infidelity is to a large degree synthetically constructed by our cultural expectations, it is not so hard-wired into our evolutionary psychology as many people like to act.
Our society has rightly moved past and repudiated the notion that one human being has a right to control another -to own them. Except in the modern conception of marriage.
True love is caring about another's happiness as much or more than your own. A need to control another's actions is not true love -it is obsession and domination. Only being happy when having the attention of another person is not true love -it is neediness. Feeling attracted or sexually aroused by a certain person is not true love -it is sexual attraction. All these things are human behavior traits and we should allow acknowledge them and respect them, but let's not mistake them for some spiritual higher calling, but rather put them in their place.
It's really about basic human rights -allowing humans to be humans, and respecting their right to do what they need to do to be happy. The modern conceptualization of marriage, and all the peer pressure and shaming that goes with it, works more often against that than for it.”
