I watched the video enough to see that the Lion player initially hit the Packer with his shoulder to the chest.
The game has changed over the years since I've been watching. That hit on someone going over the middle was quite common .If that was Jack Tatum , not only would he knocked the guy out, but he would have stood over him and taunted him. Hall of Fame Mike Singletary didn't break over a dozen of his helmets at Baylor by leading with his shoulder. Coming out of college that was a badge of honor for Singletary, now he would be considered a cheap shot artist.”
