Would You Buy This for Your Daughter?

Would You Buy This for Your Daughter?

“Parents buy the cloth so don't buy the push up bra. The funniest thing I have ever seen is a push up for a double D. I have this too big cup size and I don't want a push up thanks no woman in her right mind would think she needs a push up so why do they make them?”

snowboarder02 on Aug 18, 2011 at 23:48:03

“I've worked in a few lingerie stores, one being targeted to older women and one being targeted to younger women, but a varied croud in each. When i am assisting a customer i ask her if shes looking for push up padding or no padding. Then she will tell me the range of padding she would like, to nothing at all, to just a bit, to tons. Believe it or not, the answer still varies from women with DD's. I get women like you who look at me like im crazy and say does it look like i need any more?! And then i get women who say yes they would like some padding because it provides more support which they are in need of. If no women bought them, they would not make them, same as the push ups for juniors which are popular, despite it being right or not. An old supervisor of mine would always reccoment Night Owl to customers that couldnt find what the needed in our store, I havent looked into it to see what they supply exactly but maybe it would be worth a google for you.”

“Yes, but it would be up to me to listen and not keep eating it. Have you ever considered that fat people just don't listen to their bodies. I know I gained some of the weight I have to loss now because I would use food as a way of making myself feel better and just eat it even if my stomach is full. My best friend does the same thing. Both of us have been checked for metabolic problems and we don't have any yet both of us have weight over 200lb in the past.”

somapsychoric on May 24, 2011 at 15:44:42

“I am insulin resistant. I once weighed 455lbs, and I never understood why my body was the way it was, why I was hungry 24/7 with no relief. When I finally understood insulin resistance, it made sense. I restricted the foods that cause an insulin response (carbohydrates), and I've lost 125lbs (more everyday) without the pain of semi-starvation diets I had tried for so long with poor results. My mood is elevated and stable when before I was prone to depression. I also have more energy because my body doesn't think it's starving and isn't trying to make me sedentary.

I am not a special case. This is something that has happened to America. Dietary fat was improperly demonized, and as fat was removed from food to make them "healthy" sugar was added. The increased sugar consumption, particularly the fructose, leads to non-alcoholic-fatty-liver, which leads to insulin resistance.

Our genetics hasn't changed in the last hundred years. We aren't more slothful, or less willful. What has changed is our food supply. What needs to change is also our food supply. Saying we should become more willful or less slothful demonstrates a misunderstanding of what is really behind the obesity epidemic, and is also indicative of anti-fat bias so common in our society. Unfortunately it is the most given advice to people, who if given the proper information, would be able to make simple adjustments and experience almost immediate and dramatic improvements in health.”

somapsychoric on May 24, 2011 at 15:40:50

“When you are insulin resistant, overeating and being sedentary IS listening to your body. In the insulin resistant, insulin blocks the release of free fatty acids from fat cells while excess insulin, which had to be released to process a carby meal, lingers in the system. This means after the body absorbs the nutrients from the meal there is a gap in the bodies nourishment where it is not being fed from the most recent meal, but also not being fed from reserves. The body then has a starvation response, causing the person to consume more and also attempt to reserve energy by becoming sedentary. The body even lowers basal metabolic rate significantly, meaning that a fat person can put on fat while eating less calories than a non-fat person whose BMR isn't down-regulated.

As for being cleared of metabolic problems, there are some estimates that up to 50% of adult Americans are insulin resistant. It seems to be very underdiagnosed. Do you begin to feel sleepy a bit after eating a big bowl of pasta? And as for eating to feel better, why did you feel down to begin with? Unstable mood and depression is associated with metabolic syndrome.”

“I can tell you from experience that losing weight isn't easy. I have done the no carb diet and didn't loose any weight. One diet worked for me for about six weeks and I lost 20 lb but after that I stuck to the diet for another three month and lost 0lb. Why I don't know it was working and than it just stopped. I didn't gain any weight back after I lost it but I wasn't loosing anymore. I tried exercising more lowing the calories nothing restarted it. Now I'm on a whole new diet and so far its working. I hope this one gets me to were I want to be. I might have to change diets again to get there though.”

“The problem with this people is not that the diet failed. They lost weight so the diet succeeded. The problem becomes when they return to eating like they did before and not exercising. In order to loss weight and keep it off a person must make a life time change to eat less and exercise more. It can't be temporary or you will gain weight again. I see it time and time with a friend of mine. She losses the weight and goes back to her normal diet with little exercise and she gains it back again in a year or so. Its not the diet she was on cause she did loss the weight its going back to doing what you did before that brings the weight back.”

I spend a lot of time learning how to spot a psychopath but since I have a degree in psychology it normal for me. But the first two are very true. If you husband, wife, or lover is displaying 3 out of five symptoms perhaps you need to reconsider being with them.”
