“Have you ever watched him? He speaks the truth. He asks questions of his guests that no one else will dare. He isn't afraid to confront people about what they need to be held accountable for. He must be one of the most well read men in the country. He has a constant stream of authors on his show, and his questions reveal that he actually reads their books.
His mind is very mercurial and he is able to process information in interviews and articulately respond with well informed retorts.
Check his facts yourself. He gets people interested in politics. His viewers want to know what he is talking about. It creates a reaction of people wanting to learn more, and a feeling that there is someone who feels as sincerely angry about things, instead of trying to appease the powers that be like so many others on TV.”

Joe The Plumber Slurs Gay People: I Would Never Let "Queers" Near My Children
Commented May 06, 2009 at 09:02:26 in Politics
“He has no gay friends. If you have an actual friend, why would you not want them anywhere near your children? That would be an aquaintence, not a friend. I don't think any person would feel ok being a friend with someone on the condition that "I wouldn't have them anywhere near my children."
It is easy to say you have gay friends when talking about gays, or black friends when talking about blacks to seems like you care and you somehow have the right to be judgemental,
but if you are actually friends with these people, you don't only mention them when saying rude comments about what they are, what they stand for.
I really can't stand when people use that "friends" line...”

I would like like to see some of her critics deal with the issues she dealt with publicly with as much grace, and then create for herself quite a career despite that.
How about this, we can compare your accomplishments, and decide based on your standard for your own life if she is worthy of people's admiration??

There are always people with valid anger that say childish things. Don't let them get to you. There are more of us that want what's best, and we can look back on life knowing full well in times of great need, we did what we could when we could with great conscience.
If anyone wants to stay home, ok. Just make sure it is for the right reasons.
Clinton's speech was fabulous. She needs dems in power. She needs to be able to push her own agenda through and thus give herself even more political capital. McCain in office will squander everything she wants to do. She needs us too, or her legacy will be not nearly as bright...”

BTW, how do you know how much time she spends with her kids? If you are that worried about kids, than why don't you get involved in your own community. “I am 5'2'' and I eat more than most people I know. My entire family is is thin. I weigh 102 lbs. My in-laws give me such a hard time about my weight. It is the rediculous topic of conversation everythime I see them.
The food I eat is good for me, I never eat greasy food, take-out, and overly processed food. I eat alot, and much of the food I eat is high in fat, I always carry a bag of nuts with me wherever I go. I use a large amount of olive oil in my dishes and I actually eat two tablespoons of coconut oil a day for it's healing abilities. These oils are very good for you.
People think I don't eat, but my husband sure as hell does! As well as my co-workers. I am never without food. I love it, it is one of the most peasurable parts of being human.
I will never have large breasts either, but it means absolutely NOTHING. Besides, looks can be taken away in a moments notice, but honor, integrity, and a strong knowledge of what your truly made of inside takes one much further than large breasts. Being sexy to a certain perverse population is not the end-all in life.
The most attractive thing any woman can have is confidence, and with that good posture and a loving smile that follows when she truly feels good about herself.”

There isn't a day we don't laugh, joke, and enjoy eachother.
What a depressing way to view marriage.”

“You may be blessed with a life which so far has had few setbacks. I think LordMoon's point is that during the course of a lifetime many trials can raise their heads--dealing with death of loved ones, financial issues, career setbacks, natural disasters, serious health problems, children issues. He is saying that your partner needs to be someone who can be there for you in all those rough patches, when you are both severely tested. And a choice based on looks and sex which is not uncommon in this country does not serve you well for a lifetime. Reread Jane Austen's opening chapter of Pride and Prejudice about Elizabeth's parents' marriage for just such an example.”

He was a beautiful young man, one of the greatest gentlemen I ever dated. He died in a car accident at the age of 18, and I'll always miss him. He was just getting his life together.
Please don't judge, there are many reasons people may not have a home at any particular time. It does not mean they are dirty, disgusting, or gross, sitting on the street begging for change. And for those who are, they have a past, a tale, and deserve respect as humans as well. Are they any worse than a bunch of rich suits that led the country into war, I think not.
Priorities, Mate. You might think on getting them straight.”

When we enter a war, we take great pains (at some cost to American lives) to avoid killing noncombatants.
On the other hand, the savages that attacked us deliberately tried to kill as many innocent civilians as possible - this was their entire purpose. They could have killed 50,000 in the World Trade Center.
If the naive woman in this movie were one of the Islamofascists, she would soon be training her baby to become a suicide bomber. Her aspirations for her darling baby would be that someday he would blow himself up, and take as many "nonbelievers" as possible with him.
Make no mistake that we are a lot better than the savages who attacked us.”

“You are right, the laws are horrible. I have seen many men get the short end of the stick because they are men, paying rediculous amounts of money that never benefit the kids and all the while facing court battle after court battle for more rights to be there for their kids. I have seen the other way around as well. It depends on the family, and the laws favor women even when they are wrong.
However, we still must fix this problem. And the problem is HUGE. To fix anything, we must first take out the anger and find solutions that are fair and work towards them. Anger divides, even if it is well deserved.
Unfortunately, life is complicated, people often lie to protect their interests, and nothing is truly simple as trying to firgure out who is right or wrong.
Anyways, who better to talk about fathers than a man who had none. He did have mael role models, however. He rose above his childhood, and should not be condemned for it.”
