“I consider myself to be a Liberal, but I'll be damned if I will allow my self to be fearful of these terrorists. Some Republicans are so afraid/partisan that they don't want to keep money in the US. I am from Illinois and we welcome the money coming in to our state. We are afraid of not being able to feed our children - not these guys.”
“ABC anchor Charles Gibson as he teased World News found that religion is relevant when discussing the Fort Hood gunman, “Fort Hood tragedy: An Army officer, a Muslim convert, is the suspect in a shooting spree...” Introducing his first story, Gibson referred to how Major Nidal Malik Hasan “an army officer, a Muslim, opened fire with handguns...” What religion were any of the other people involved in this type of shooting in the past?”

“This is the first event of this kind, to my understanding.”
“Illegals are covered now - emergency rooms do not refuse care. The bills proposed do not include people here illegally.”

“People are getting hung up on the word "covered"...use it carefully. Hospitals are indeed required to administer care to anyone that requires emergency treatment. This is a humanitarian requirement that has been in place forever, and has nothing to do with insurance (ergo "coverage"). The issue is not whether illegals can get medical treatment in the US...of course they can. The issue is whether the proposed overhaul will provide illegals with free or heavily subsidized health insurance...and the answer is "no".”
“Exactly, it is interesting that he leaves this fact out. On another note is anyone else tired of people jokingly calling Obama things like the "annointed one?" It is really childish and sacrilegious references like this should be reserved for God, not used to mock or belittle someone.”

“Thank you for saying that comment about the "annointed one", etc. I am a Bam supporter and have been for some time. I think he is many things, but most of all, I think he is human, and therfore, imperfect by definition. I think all of those references to the messiah and such are done out of jealousy and to be condescending (whether its from a black person or a white person). The fact is, Bam has run an excellent campaign, both in the primary and in the general election. Depsite the repeated and relentless attacks on him and his family, he has in fact stayed above the fray. This doesn't make him a savior, just a better person!!!! Everyone should try and practice similar forms of civility. It might make the world a better place.”
“Olberman has to go on Colbert with a Ball jar full of yellow liquid - that would be classic.”

“That would be awesome! Colbert is so funny. I love his show. I do agree a tiny bit with the satire there--sometimes Keith's rants are a bit too spirited for me, but other times he has me agreeing and thinking that he is the hottest man on MSNBC.”
“The difference this year is that the slimey, hidden smears of the past are now out in the open. Hopefully, we can spread the word about this site and shed some light and truth on these underhanded tactics. Obama Biden '08
Remember to get out and vote - vote early if you can.”
“McCain has not changed - his surly attitude was not public knowledge before. In 2006 Barack Obama sent a letter to John McCain - McCain's response was an overreaction in agression - to say the least. McCain is a very vindictive person - he has never forgiven Obama for not blindly following him on campaign finance reform. Check out the link below.
“If McCain does not show up for the debate Obama should show up turn it into a forum on the economy - along his with economic advisors. It is estimated that 100 million people will be watching the debate - do you really think McCain will not show up - no chance.”
The Obama campaign said Obama had called McCain around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday to propose that they issue a joint statement in support of a package to help fix the economy as soon as possible. McCain called back six hours later and agreed to the idea of the statement, the Obama campaign said. McCain's statement about postponing his campaign was issued to the media a few minutes later.
“McCain was bought and paid for.
"After McCain's election to the House in 1982, he and his family made at least nine trips at Keating's expense, three of which were to Keating's Bahamas retreat. McCain did not disclose the trips (as he was required to under House rules) until the scandal broke in 1989. At that point, he paid Keating $13,433 for the flights."”
They want to talk about guilt by association? Between REPUBLICAN John McCain and the Keating Five, deregulation, Phil Graham and Republican Sara Palin and Ted Stevens & Troopergate the Republican ticket does not have much room to talk”
