“Was not proposing that 2012 had anything to do with mainstream religion. I was making a metaphorical reference that the use by date (stamped on food products) has passed or that the shelf life of religion has passed. Not knocking people who really get what their religion is trying to teach but more and more people use religion to divide and as a justification of intolerance of every variety - a sure sign of decay that stinks to high heaven (if you will..)

You don't see Drunvalo Melchizedek (for example - not promoting his deal) trying to be the moral authority for everyone on the planet or you don't see him and his followers trying to persecute non believers. He probably could care less if you get the whole flower of life thing. Those guys are all just holding onto a faith that the future could be transformative if there's enough of a critical mass of people becoming spiritual but not necessarily religious and recognizing the unity between all being, all life, regardless of your metaphorical set. In my opinion, mainstream religion's use by date is long past and it's time to get rid of the middle man between one's self and spiritual presence however you perceive it.”

The Catholics are against abortion, fine. Nothing in either bill for reform pays for abortion! So they should back off of trying to kill healthcare reform when there really is nothing in there to argue against!! In fact, to vote against healthcare reform is to condemn those uninsured and people who die from lack of insurance to death. To me that is very anti Christian!
