Virginia Tech Survivor With Hidden Camera Films Dangerous Gun Sales at Gun Shows

Commented Nov 18, 2009 at 18:29:35 in Politics

“A solution might be to station police officers at the entrance to gun shows to determine who is legal to buy and sell firearms and ammunition. This could be done pretty quickly in this day and age but the proprietors of gun shows will never go for it. The gun shows that I have been to already have police officers at the entrance to inspect incoming weapons. Why not have them inspect incoming people?”

ManUTd1989 replied on Nov 18, 2009 at 21:06:16

“they already do that here in CA.”

Matrsnot replied on Nov 18, 2009 at 20:58:54

“Police officers are stationed at the entrance to each gun show I have attended. They check allweapons to ensure they are not loaded and put a band on them to render them inoperable. Local officers genereally know who the local criminal element are.”

“Truer words have seldom been spoken. Enjoy a few bad jokes in the immediate aftermath but don't descend to the GOP's recent level. They opened this can of worms with Monicagate. Let them suffer the consequences from now on. Res ipsa loquitur.”

Hawaii5-0 replied on Jun 25, 2009 at 14:20:06

“I agree. Where were the conservative, GOP voices like Alec's when Monicagate came out? This was a personal matter that Bill and Hillary worked thru and really no one else's business. But I guess Ken Starr had to justify why he spent $80M in taxpayer money only to discover that Bill got a bj.

I recall the hundreds of Republicans calling for impeachment in their righteous outrage. Where is that outrage now with Craig, Foley, Ensign, Sanford and whomever it will be next week. Seems like they are doing "Scandal a Month in the GOP" and it IS karma coming back to haunt them. Now, they have become what they condemned with Bill Clinton. They are quietly eating crow.”
