Healthcare is NOT listed as one of the few & limited powers of the federal govt--but providing for the common defense is.

So--it seems logical to you that states OPPOSED to the power of the government to legislate healthcare [not in the Constitution] should be "penalized" by having military bases deemed necesary for our defense [mandated by the constitution] if they decide upon a strategy to challenge this NEW "power"???”

We could ease life with Iran if we removed all tropps & warships from the Gulf; putin would meet us halfway if we told Georgia where to go & eliminated our nuclear threat.

Peace is at hand!! the President just needs to match his actions with his rhetoric--and he can truely earn HIMSELF a 2nd Nobel Peace Priuze [and who else has ever won 2 of them?].”

1- the RAW data;
2-the QUALITY of those data;
3-the VARIABLES included in ANY model;
4-the ASSUMPTIONS of any given model.

IF these data are questionable there is a problem; IF the assumptions are questionable you have a problem [a statistician I once worked with was not inclined to be a witness before the EPA because he KNEW the assumptions of a "life cyle" model for a particular fish was bogus!! For that particular fish to achieve a "steady state" in this particular tidal river, >95% of the fish would need to be "cropped"!]”

2-beaches in the us have been renourished since the 1920s--and in Europe since the "global cooling" period of the 1970s ie.unc.edu/content/.../03/MCFSBeachNourishmentCapstone.pdff). Do these activities link in any way to Co2???

2- beaches in s/sw florida have been "disappearing" for 30+ years...and YOU [& I--among others] are PAYING for their renourishmen WITH OUR TAXESt! [as an aside, I worked on a renourishment project on marco island, FL in 1992--and have some knowledge of other nourishment projects in Naples, FL & pinellas county, fl] .
The same goes for North Carolina.....and it probably has more to do with ocean currents and the construction of groins and other hardened structures [see above ref] than CO2!

So..again..i am at a loss to understand your CO2 related response....”

These are the questions we ALL need an answer to! IF...and i say IF...the data are really "lost" [whether accidentally or on purpose]...then there is a REAL problem!! These data were SUPPOSED to be in the PUBLIC DOMAIN--paid for by taxpayer $$$ [or, in the UK, pounds!]--available to ANY TAXPAYER--AT ANY TIME!

IF...and again I say "if" there are ALTERNATE approaches to analyzing these data [forget the "if"--there are always ways to construct a different model!!]...and they yield similar results then we can have confidence in the existing models. However, IF other analyses produce markedly different results, then we do NOT HAVE "SETTLED SCIENCE".

It could not be more simpler! If everyone works with the same datasets--but different assumptions about the data--yet get the same general results we can all breath a sigh of relief. On the other hand.......”
