“I have to agree with much of what you're saying. And I don't know if I'm showing my age or what, but it does seem that performances have really gone over-the-top in the last few years. I don't know if it was because they were live performances in a large theatre, but I couldn't understand most of the lyrics they were singing. It seems like it's all about the flash and physicality of the performance anymore. The actual singing, not so much. Maybe it's a testament to our ever-shrinking collective attention span...If we aren't "wowed" every few seconds, we lose interest...Don't get me wrong, I love a good show as much as anyone else, but what's with all the crotch grabbing? Does everyone have a serious case of the crabs???”
