why would anyone ever force a person who doesn't want a child to have it? child as punishment? volunteer a little bit with abused children and maybe your mind will open a hair”

“OK, we can all play the holier-than-though game here, or we can admit some simple truths about life in a finance organization. If you are found to be lying in the process--breaking the rules--you get fired. If, as a manager, it's found that your employee is breaking the rules, and you do not fire that person, THEY fire the person--right after they fire you.
This is the way it works, in real life. I suppose it would've looked better if I'd not made that initial statement, but it's a simple fact that would have to be faced by any manager in any corporation in this country.”

I have a home equity loan at 4% - a car loan at 4.99%. I don't pay fees for using my own money. I have a credit card sponsored by my credit union - I earn points I can use to get things from a neat catalog - and when interest rates go down they actually pass it back to their customers!!!! shockingly good service.”

“typical teabagger arguments. they claim public concern is unjustified for the 'small' number who have been negatively impacted.
my sister was a victim of incest/rape at 12, a compassionate doctor treated her with a 'DC' in our state where abortion was illegal at the time.
teabaggers would have child victims like my sister die trying to carry a child to term. I don't care how few people are raped or victims of incest or who might lose their life carrying a child to term. It's wrong to force people to go to term. Equally appalling is to force pregnancy on some one who DOESN"T want the child.
I wish all these mouthy people would volunteer to work with abused children from families that don't won't them. Right - they don't care, they just whine about why should these families get any federal support.”

GOP Uses ACORN To Fight Bank Redlining Law

“teabaggers are always claiming voter fraud - and there is little proof. It's usually a matter of making it as difficult as possible for poor citizens to vote because they are least likely to be moved by republican usual mantra of tax breaks for the wealthy.
The worship of greed has brought about an attitude that people who are poor deserve to be poor, that they aren't as good or smart or as hardworking as the 'rest of us' and therefore deserve nothing including the right to be heard in government.
Look around you, who is collecting from the stimulus? cash for clunkers ? only had to be a care with !!! 22 mpg rating? $8000 for homebuyers as long as you bought your last home more than 3 years ago?
Your average nurse's aide holding 2 jobs to make ends meet? what kind of take tax benefits for her? HA!
So thank goodness there are organizations like ACORN that protect the poor from the predatory practices of banks, credit card companies and mortgage companies. Going after the poor is very PROFITABLE and safe as they have very very little political clout. Look at the republicans piling on ACORN. No sense of outrage against Halliburton and KBR or other companies ripping of tax payers for billions.... much easier target is an agency of low-paid and volunteer employees whose goal is to ... help the poor.”

I was going thru chemo, dealing with a diagnosis of breast cancer, uterine cancer AND kidney cancer - with all this going on I had to ride herd on my insurance company. You know there is no guarantee provides the some one every year. The have different processes to get permission to see the doctor. Did you know all oncologists are considered specialists and therefore you pay more to see them? The coding mistakes, rejected, misfiled claims were ridiculous. You cannot count on your insurer to pay on a timely basis. Nothing like finding out your $1500 bill wasn't paid and the medical office submitted it to collection so you have to hurry up and pay it out of your own pocket.
You think the current process is great? Hope to heck you never get sick or lose your job after being diagnosed with a pre-existing condition for your next one . You would find yourself in the same boat as the rest of us that want a public option.
i'm tired of americans accepting the mediocre overpriced process we have.”
