The Party Of Death: GOP Says Stop Effort To Halt Health Care Deaths, But Escalate War

Commented Nov 25, 2009 at 12:21:25 in Politics

“The same could be said of their stance on abortions - they want to save fetuses, but want to send soldiers to their deaths.

These people don't care about other people - they care about money, and how they can fit more into their greedy, gaping maws.”

MacQ replied on Nov 25, 2009 at 16:06:03

“Sending soldiers to war and then not giving them what they need, dithering about their mission giving the enemy the upper hand while they're our there is pretty much sending them to unnecessary deaths. Sending them to war of necessity and committing to support them is what "these people" want. Or if you can't do that, get them the h out of there. Of course in that event, your "people" will turn a blind eye to the bloodbath that follows. You've done it before. So much for caring about people.

As for wanting to save unborn children, I fail to see how that's not caring about other people. In "these peoples" view, they are people. In your view, they're apparently not.”

The Republican Plan to Block Health Care Reform

Commented Nov 19, 2009 at 19:36:26 in Politics

“This is easy.

If the Dems had any guts, they'd tie congressional health care to public health care.

If Americans don't get a public option, congress doesn't get health care.

But they don't have any guts, so something like this won't happen.”

VikingQuest replied on Nov 19, 2009 at 19:39:14

“Read up on the public option . . . it isn't available to the public.”

Commented Nov 17, 2009 at 15:58:17 in Media

“You like McCain?

Maybe you haven't paid attention to his career.

Or maybe you like the rest of the Keating 5.

Perhaps you like drunks that crash 3 airplanes and still don't get kicked out of the military because of daddy.

Maybe it's the way he's so nice to his previous wife. And his current wife.

Or maybe it's a throw-away line, meaning you're a hack.”

“Thanks for bringing up the Keating Five.
My husband and I were shocked that nobody really brought that up during the campaign.
I know he was cleared. But if you research it McCain was more guilty in that instance than oh, I don't know say Don Sieglman, who is still fighting bogus charges trumped up by Rove and his cronies during the Dubya's admin.
I know being vindictive is not attractive. But it just burns my butt that these shady, political bullies never seem to have their day in court.”

“I'm all for beating the crap out of tea baggers.

They continually use the language of violence and revolution - well, this is how it feels. They continually attempt to take away the rights of people with whom they don't agree, and people won't stand for it.

They need to be shown that there are consequences to their actions.”

JulieSA replied on Nov 17, 2009 at 11:38:28

“I'm bookmarking this thread. This is truly unbelievable. ironically, you'll never see language advocating violent aggression in the streets on a maintsream conservative website. This is purely a lefty thing.

We are discussing how to best defend ourselves from these attacks though, which is only prudent in light of the fact that all of the violence has been from your side”

Liberal Elitism? No. Some People Are, Sadly, Stupid

Commented Nov 13, 2009 at 12:07:02 in Politics

We used to value education in this country, along with a strong work ethic. We now value neither.

Pandering to idiots makes us all idiots. These are the same people who don't believe science, and think the earth is 6,000 years old.

If being elitist means I'm not among the dumbest people in the room, count me in.”

I hadn't seen the headline, "NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE MYSTERY SOLVED" myself. So somehow, I think there are still quite a few questions about the whole thing. Ask anyone who has had one, however, and they will be quite sure it was for real and will frequently be happy to share what they learned from it.”
